  • Publication number: 20230259892
Abstract: An owner or operator of a turbomachine, such as a gas turbine engine, may wish to extend a service interval for the turbomachine. A framework is disclosed that enables automation of various aspects of the review process, including the generation of a risk assessment for the service interval extension. Data, including equipment data, may be aggregated from a plurality of different data silos. A physics-based model may be applied to the equipment data to calculate a remaining useful life of the equipment, which may then be used to generate the risk assessment. In addition, the framework may facilitate multiple levels of evaluation of the risk assessment to increase confidence in a final approval or denial of the service interval extension.

  • Publication number: 20110262970
Abstract: A method for producing a fermentation product from a lignocellulose-containing material comprises pre-treating the lignocellulose-containing material; introducing a cationic polysaccharide to the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material; exposing the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material to an effective amount of a first hydrolyzing enzyme; and fermenting with a fermenting organism to produce a fermentation product. The cationic polysaccharide may be a cationic starch.

  • Patent number: 7075959
Abstract: A cooling device for a diode pumped laser slab includes a plurality of stacked sapphire layers that partially absorb stray fluorescent light that is emitted from the laser slab. The layers include a plurality of fluid orifices and fluid channels that define a fluid pathway for a coolant medium. The coolant medium and sapphire layers cooperate to maintain the temperature of the laser slab below a predetermined temperature level.
