  • Patent number: 11649136
Abstract: A method of monitoring a conveyance apparatus within a conveyance system is provided. The method including: obtaining a starting location position probability distribution of the conveyance apparatus within the conveyance system; detecting motion of the conveyance apparatus away from the probable starting location for a period of time; determining a distance traveled by the conveyance apparatus during the period of time; determining a direction of motion of the conveyance apparatus during the period of time; and determining a probability of the conveyance apparatus being at each of a plurality of possible destination locations at a conclusion of the period of time in response to the starting location position probability distribution and at least one of the distance traveled, the direction of motion, and the period of time.

  • Patent number: 10983210
Abstract: According to an aspect, a method includes detecting, by a computing system, whether there are any pre-existing objects between a first group of sensors of a sensor array in an elevator shaft. The computing system detects whether there is a foreign object between a second group of sensors of the sensor array in the elevator shaft, where the second group of sensors includes at least one sensor that differs from the first group of sensors. The computing system triggers a modification to a control aspect of an elevator car in the elevator shaft based on detection of the foreign object.

  • Publication number: 20190330015
Abstract: According to an aspect, a technique for operating an elevator safety system using pressure-sensitive detection includes detecting a presence in a safety zone of a first elevator of the elevator system, and activating a safety mode of the first elevator based at least in part on the determination. The technique also includes operating the first elevator in the safety mode, and transmitting data of the first elevator to a server.
