Abstract: An article of footwear includes an upper and a cable lock disposed adjacent to an exterior surface of the upper. The cable lock is separated from the exterior surface of the upper by a space. The article of footwear also includes a cable having a first portion routed through the cable lock and a second portion routed through the space between the cable lock and the upper. The cable is operable to move the upper between a relaxed state and a constricted state.
