Abstract: A method for communication within a multicore system which includes a primary programmable logic device (PLD) and a secondary PLD installed respectively on a primary motherboard and a secondary motherboard includes steps of: A) by the primary PLD, determining whether the primary motherboard is connected to the secondary motherboard; B) by the primary PLD, after determining that the primary motherboard is connected to the secondary motherboard, sending a reply-requesting signal to the secondary PLD; C) by the secondary PLD, after receiving the reply-requesting signal, sending a reply signal corresponding to the reply-requesting signal to the primary PLD; D) by the primary PLD, after receiving the reply signal, sending an instruction to the secondary PLD; and E) by the secondary PLD, after receiving the instruction, performing an operation corresponding to the instruction.

Abstract: A layout method of large-flux algae control wells based on a sluice-pump hub area includes: defining positions of a sluice-pump hub and a river diversion channel as a sluice-pump hub area, arranging at least two sets of pumping station units at the water outlet end of the river diversion channel, using a water flow model to guide streamline and flow velocity distribution of water flow in the river diversion channel, and determining whether it is necessary to adopt rectification measures based on water flow streamline and flow velocity distribution; and obtaining hydraulic characteristic values of the pumping station units, determining whether the currently arranged algae control wells and the adopted rectifying measures simultaneously meet the algae control requirements and subsequent running requirements of the pumping station units based on the hydraulic characteristic values.

Abstract: An approach is provided for lane width estimation from incomplete lane marking detections of a road lane. The approach, for example, involves generating one or more perpendicular lines respectively from location centers of one or more first lane marking detections. A respective lane marking detection represents at least a portion of a boundary of the road lane as a line delimited by two location data points in accordance with detections by at least one sensor device onboard at least one vehicle. The approach also involves identifying second lane marking detections that each respectively intersect one of the one or more perpendicular lines. The approach further involves selecting one or more candidate lane widths based on one or more respective distances from the location centers to the second lane marking detections. The approach further involves determining an estimated lane width of the road lane based on the one or more candidate lane widths.

Abstract: An approach is provided for reconstructing a road linear feature. The approach, for example, involves receiving two or more linear feature detections that respectively represent a linear feature of a road as a line segment delimited by two feature points. The approach also involves map matching the two or more linear feature detections to a road link segment of a geographic database. The approach further involves determining an orientation difference for each of the two or more linear feature detections based on an angle difference between each linear feature detection and a link orientation of the map matched road link segment. The approach further involves determining a feature orientation of the linear feature based on an aggregation of the orientation difference for each linear feature detection. The approach further involves constructing a representation of the linear feature based at least in part on the feature orientation.

Abstract: A heat-dissipating device configured to cool the battery pack of an electric vehicle includes a coolant circulating pump and a tank. The coolant circulating pump is configured to engage with the one or more heat dissipation pipes of the electric vehicle and communicate with the one or more heat dissipation pipes. The tank is configured to contain coolant which includes phase change material. When cooling is required, for example during battery recharging, the coolant circulating pump is configured to inject the coolant in the tank into the one or more heat dissipation pipes via the coolant inlet, drive the coolant to flow in the one or more heat dissipation pipes, and take the coolant out from the one or more heat dissipation pipes via the coolant outlet to the exterior. A related electric vehicle and a related heat dissipation method are also provided.
