  • Publication number: 20200402734
Abstract: A cap structure movably connected to first and second support members of a keyswitch is disclosed. The first and second support members are movably connected to a board of the keyswitch. An end portion of the first support member is connected to the cap structure and has a shaft structure. The cap structure includes a cap body, a slot structure, and a limiting structure. A bottom surface of the cap body extends along an X-axis and a Y-axis. The slot structure protrudes from the bottom surface along a Z-axis and has a first slot corresponding to a first end of the shaft structure along the X-axis for allowing the first end to be movably inserted into the first slot. The limiting structure protrudes from the bottom surface along the Z-axis for blocking movement of the shaft structure along the Y-axis to limit the first end in the first slot.

  • Publication number: 20200395178
Abstract: A keyswitch includes a keycap, first and second base plate, a supporting device, and a bracket. The keycap moves between an upward position and a downward position through the supporting device. The bracket is movably disposed between the keycap and the first base. The second base plate is disposed opposite to the first base plate and moves between an operation position and a storage position. When the second base plate is located at the operation position, the bracket abuts against a supporting portion of the second base plate, and a magnetic attraction force produced by two magnetic areas of the first base plate and the bracket respectively keeps the keycap at the upward position. When the second base plate is located at the storage position, the bracket is separated from the supporting portion, and the magnetic attraction force keeps the keycap at the downward position.

  • Publication number: 20200381195
Abstract: A keyswitch structure includes a base plate, a keycap, a lift mechanism connecting the keycap and the base plate, a movable part movably disposed relative to the base plate, a linking support, and a magnetic part on the base plate. The linking support has a pivotal connection portion, a magnetic portion, and a driving portion. The magnetic part and the magnetic portion produce a magnetic attraction force therebetween. When the movable part is located at a first position, the pivotal connection portion is rotatably disposed on a protruding portion of the movable part, and the magnetic attraction force drives the keycap through the linking support to move away relative to the keycap. When the movable part moves from the first position to a second position, the protruding portion moves away, so that the pivotal connection portion falls down and the keycap moves toward the base plate.

  • Publication number: 20200373106
Abstract: A key switch includes a key cap, a base, a support device and a bracket. The base has a first magnetic area. The support device is disposed between the key cap and the base. The bracket is movably connected to the support device. The bracket has a second magnetic area corresponding to the first magnetic area. When the key cap is not pressed, a magnetic attraction force between the first and second magnetic areas keeps the key cap at a non-pressed position. When the key cap is pressed by an external force, the key cap moves with the support device from the non-pressed position to a pressed position. When the external force is released, the second magnetic area moves toward the first magnetic area due to the magnetic attraction force, such that the key cap moves with the support device from the pressed position to the non-pressed position.

  • Patent number: 10002725
Abstract: A keyswitch includes a board, a cap, and a support device. The board has first and second bending members and a main body extending along X and Y axes perpendicular to each other. An included angle between a first abutting surface of the first bending member and the X-axis and an included angle between a second abutting surface of the second bending member and the X-axis are greater than 0°. The support device includes first and second support members having first and second hook structures respectively. When the cap is pressed, the first and second hook structures slide on the first and second abutting surfaces respectively to deform the first and second hook structures. When the cap is released, the deformed first and second hook structures drive the first and second support members to slide relatively for making the cap return to a non-pressed position.

  • Patent number: 9715973
Abstract: A keyswitch includes a board, a cap, and a support device. The support device is disposed between the board and the cap and includes first and second support members movably connected to the cap and the board. A stopping member is formed on one of the first support member and the cap. An elastic member is formed on the other one of the first support member and the cap. When the cap is not pressed, the stopping member abuts against the elastic member to keep the cap at a non-pressed position. When the cap is pressed to a pressed position, the cap and the first support member slide relatively to make the stopping member deform the elastic member. When the cap is released, the elastic member drives the cap and the first support member to slide relatively, so as to move the cap back to the non-pressed position.

  • Patent number: 9646780
Abstract: The keyswitch structure uses two linkages form as V-shaped to support a keycap when the keycap is moved up and down. A first linkage and a second linkage are coupled with each other and also coupled with a support on a base respectively in a line contacting way, thereby forming a first axis, a second axis, and a third axis. The third axis is located between the first axis and the second axis. As the keycap is pressed to move downward, the keycap brings the two linkages and the support of the base to have relative rotation movement. Due to the geometric feature between the three axes, part of the linkages between the axes or the support of the base may be caused to slightly deform to provide a resilient restoring force that can move the keycap upward to a position not being pressed.

  • Patent number: 9006596
Abstract: A keyswitch and a keyboard are provided. A top plate of a keycap of the keyswitch, for being pressed and decoration, and a frame including groove bodies, for linking with a supporting mechanism, are separated into two components such that the top plate may be implemented as a plate structure with much thinner thickness while maintaining its strength, and the frame with the groove bodies is attached to the top plate via insert molding or adhering. The frame and the top plate form the keycap, in which the groove bodies at the frame and the top plate form sliding slots or engaging slots in cooperation with the supporting mechanism. The thickness of the keycap can be substantially reduced and meanwhile maintain the necessary stroke of the keyswitch and the strength of the keycap. The keyboard having the keyswitches is made possible for further miniaturized with thinner thickness.
