  • Publication number: 20190377905
Abstract: Principal components analysis is applied to data sets to fingerprint the dataset or to compare the dataset to a “wild file” that may have been constructed from data found in the dataset. Principal components analysis allows for the reduction of data used for comparison down to a parsimonious compressed signature of a dataset. Datasets with different patterns among the variables will have different patterns of principal components. The principal components of variables (or a relevant subset thereof) in a wild file may be computed and statistically compared to the principal components of identical variables in a data provider's reference file to provide a score. This constitutes a unique and compressed signature of a file that can be used for identification and comparison with similarly defined patterns from other files.

  • Publication number: 20190095595
Abstract: A system for applying fingerprinting/watermarking of consumer data, and analyzing “wild files” of consumer data to assign a guilt score for a particular party who may have leaked the data, allows the owner of data sources (“Data Owners”) to identify and assert ownership of textual data that has been distributed outside of their firewall in the clear (i.e., without encryption), either intentionally or unintentionally, and assign guilt to parties misusing the data. The system can be used by Data Owners who transmit, lease, or sell data to individuals or organizations (“Trusted Third Parties” or “TTPs”) to recognize and assert ownership of their data in the case where one or more TTPs leaks the data (the leaked file is defined as a “Leaked Subset”) into the hands of others (“Bad Actors”) who either knowingly or unknowingly use the data illegally.

  • Publication number: 20160246989
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method restricting access to health information over a computer network comprising the steps of receiving settings for restricting access to health information from a first user, storing the settings for restricting access to health information on a central repository, authenticating a user, determining the authorization level of the user, redacting health information based on the user's authorization level, and displaying redacted health information to the user on a user interface. Also disclosed is a system and method for transmitting messages over a computer network with redacted health information.

  • Publication number: 20160117523
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for selectively sharing information among users of a computer application. Specific utility in healthcare applications is disclosed, but the scope of the invention is not limited to healthcare applications. The method involves selecting specific users, with whom information will be shared, a method for selecting such users' restrictions on the information that can be accessed by such users. Also disclosed is a system and method through which certain users can transmit communications on behalf of other users.

  • Publication number: 20090057181
Abstract: An air-tight polygonal, resembling a rectangular shape of, container for accommodating camera for underwater use. The airtight container consists of a casing and a lid, sealing by a pair of clamps together with a pair of clamping device each (part) with an about horizontal groove on the inner surface of the clamping device for the casing and lid to slide into the brackets to tight-fit easily. Both the casing and the lid do not stand alone, but form with integral parts to form the casing compartment and the lid section. On each of the casing compartment and the lid section are two slots on each of the width-long sides. The slots will tight-fit with the locking projections in the inner bottom of the clamping device, also with two locking projections on each of the width-long side. The sealing effect of this new invention is further guaranteed by the use of a flange on each of the length-long side so that the container is sealed and will not be fallen apart because of external forces.

  • Patent number: 6611924
Abstract: The source code for a computer program contains a plurality of debug output statements that provide a debug output string when the computer program is running. Each debug output statement comprises a fixed-content text string field which is provided in the debug output string. The fixed-content text string field of each debug output statement is replaced with a unique text string number to provide stripped source code. A number-to-string mapping table for translating each unique text string number into a corresponding fixed-content text string is constructed. The stripped source code is compiled to provide stripped object code. The stripped object code for the computer program is run on a target computer. A debug computer receives debug output strings from corresponding debug output statements of the computer program, each debug output string having a unique text string number.
