Abstract: A harnesses for fall protection and methods of manufacturing the same are provided. The harness includes a horizontal connecting webbing with a force receiving mechanism. The horizontal connecting webbing including a first horizontal receiving loop at a first end of the horizontal connecting webbing. The harness also includes a first upper webbing configured with a upper webbing loop that is engaged with the first horizontal receiving loop at the first end of the horizontal connecting webbing. The harness further includes a first lower webbing configured with a lower webbing loop that is engaged with first horizontal receiving loop at the first end of the horizontal connecting webbing. The first upper webbing and the first lower webbing are independent of one another. A corresponding method of manufacturing the harness is also provided so as to withstand various large forces during operation.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to relief apparatuses and methods of using the same. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise a housing comprising an interior housing portion configured to store a relief step device therein, and an activation assembly configured to facilitate an automated deployment of the relief step device from within the interior housing portion in response to a fall occurrence, wherein the automated deployment of the at least a portion of the relief step device is based at least in part on a load force acting on at least a portion of the activation assembly, wherein the load force is defined at least in part by a force generated as a result of the fall occurrence. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise an activation assembly that enables both an automated deployment and a manual deployment of a relief step device in a fall condition.

The connector includes a first plate and a second plate, where the first plate is identical to the second plate. The first plate and the second plate includes a plurality of slits to facilitate passage of a first harness and a second harness therethrough. The first plate is rotatably coupled to the second plate such that they are rotatable with respect to each other. Such a connector automatically enables easy adjustment of the harness based on an activity of a user who is wearing the harness.

Abstract: The present invention provides a preparation method of aromatic citrus peel artificial leather, the non-woven fabric adopts the wet impregnation process for impregnation treatment, the impregnated non-woven fabric is scraped and coated with the first fabric by the coating scraper, and then the aromatic citrus peel artificial leather finished product is obtained by coagulation, washing, pre-ironing, drying, cooling, scraping and coating of the second fabric; Liquid nitrogen is used to grind 80-400 mesh citrus peel powder in the fabric formula. The aromatic citrus peel artificial leather finished product has strong oxidation resistance, is not easy to turn yellow, has sterilization, deodorization and can exude a fresh aroma, and the artificial leather is environmentally friendly and easy to degrade.

Such methods may include extracting melatonin from Hypericum perforatum or from tomatoes. Such methods may include mixing the melatonin source with a first solvent; filtering the extraction solution; and concentrating the filtrate to obtain coarse extract. Compositions of the melatonin extract obtained from the methods are also provided.

Such methods may include extracting spermidine from the rice germ with a first solvent; filtering the extraction solution; concentrating the filtrate to obtain coarse extract; optionally mixing the coarse extract with citric acid; extracting with a second solvent; filtering the second extraction solution to remove insoluble matter, and concentrating the filtrate to obtain a rice germ extract. Such methods may produce an extract having a spermidine content of about 1% to about 5% and a total extraction yield of about 80% or more. Compositions of the spermidine extract obtained from the methods are also provided.

Abstract: The invention provides 3D-knitted spacer fabrics of high breathability and moisture management and methods of making the 3D-knitted spacer fabrics. The middle layer of the fabric is made of hydrophilic material, comprising two yarns, a blended thermo-fuse wicking yarn comprising hydrophilic fiber and thermo-fuse fiber, and a non-supportive hydrophilic functional wicking yarn. The top layer of the fabric comprises a hydrophilic yarn, and the third layer of the fabric comprises a hydrophobic yarn. The 3D-knitted spacer fabrics are useful in clothing and equipment for wear in high temperature environments.
