  • Patent number: 11972368
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer program products for determining the source of activity during interaction with a user interface are provided. The method comprises selecting one or more input devices from a plurality of available input devices coupled to the user interface and receiving respective measurements for the selected one or more input devices. Based on the received respective measurements, respective feature vectors for the one or more input devices are generated and then inputted to a pre-defined regression model. Then, the source of activity is determined based on a result received from the regression model.

  • Publication number: 20240012724
Abstract: A method and system for performing a flexible Byzantine fault tolerant (BFT) protocol. The method includes sending, from a client device, a proposed value to a plurality of replica devices and receiving, from at least one of the plurality of replica devices, a safe vote on the proposed value. The replica device sends the safe vote, based on a first quorum being reached, to the client device and each of the other replica devices of the plurality of replica devices. The method further includes determining that a number of received safe votes for the proposed value meets or exceeds a second quorum threshold, selecting the proposed value based on the determination, and setting a period of time within which to receive additional votes. The method further includes, based on the period of time elapsing without receiving the additional votes, committing the selected value for the single view.

  • Publication number: 20230066250
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of medical titanium alloy materials, and in particular, to a narrow-diameter high-strength implant-specific medical titanium alloy achieving immediate implant placement and a preparation method for the implant-specific medical titanium alloy. The medical titanium alloy is prepared from the following chemical components (by weight percentage), 14%-17% of Zr, 3.0%-10% of Cu, and the balance of Ti. The preparation method for the medical titanium alloy comprises: after cogging and forging and before rolling, performing heat preservation for 0.5-6 h at the temperature of 900-1200° C., and water cooling to the room temperature; and rolling at the temperature of 720-850° C., a strain rate being larger than 0.1 s-1, and a barstock obtained after rolling being used for subsequent implant processing.

  • Publication number: 20220237180
Abstract: A replicated service comprises N replicas deployed on compute nodes of a computer network, wherein upon receiving qr*N first votes from other replicas on a proposed transaction by a leader of the N replicas, each of the N replicas certifies the proposed transaction to a client of the replicated service, where qr is a fractional value between 0 and 1 that represents a quorum required for certification. A method of approving a transaction in the replicated service includes receiving the certifications from the N replicas, determining whether or not the certifications are received from at least qc*N replicas, where qc is a fractional value between 0 and 1 that represents a quorum required for transaction approval and qc>qr, and transmitting an approval of the transaction to the replicas for recording by the replicas upon determining that the certifications have been received from at least qc*N replicas.

  • Publication number: 20210279255
Abstract: A distributed service includes replicas that communicate with each other over a network to commit a block of client requests to a log of blocks of client requests. Each replica receives from one of the replicas, designated as the leader, a proposal for committing a new block to the log, and sends a vote on the proposed block to all of the other replicas via the network. Each replica then starts a timer set to twice the maximum network delay time to transmit messages over the network. If there is no equivocation when the timer lapses or stalling condition in proposing new blocks, then each replica commits the proposed block to the log. If there is equivocation or stalling condition, then a new leader is selected, and the process re-attempts to commit the proposed block.

  • Publication number: 20140058832
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and managing financial term objects are disclosed herein for generating, based on a publisher's input, a plurality financial term objects. A financial term object includes a set of rules that govern how revenue is divided between a partner and a publisher when a supplemental content object is displayed to a user in response to the user accessing an online property of the partner. After generating the financial term object, the publisher may use the system to system store the financial term object in a database. After storing the financial term object, the system allows the publisher to associate the plurality of financial term objects with a plurality of partners. After associating the financial term objects, the system may then calculate at least one revenue share owed to the partner based on a financial term object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for the creation and management of rules for the governance of revenue sharing are disclosed herein. Generally, the system and methods generate, based on a publisher's input, at least one financial term override object. The financial term override object comprises a set of rules that override a default set of rules to govern how revenue is divided between a partner and a publisher when a supplemental content object is displayed by a partner. The financial term override object is stored in a database. After storing the financial term override object, the financial term override object is associated with the publisher and the partner. A revenue shared owed to the partner is then calculated based on the override set of rules.
