    Abstract: An improved jump starter system where at least one negative clamp/clip for the system is replaced with a magnet to allow a user to easily place the magnet on a dead metal area of the vehicle for an improved electrical connection. The improved jump starter preferably incorporates at least one grounding magnet to replace the conventional negative clamp. The grounding magnet provides for an alternative and improved way for making electrical connection by the negative/neutral cable. The improved jumper system is particularly idea for use in the automotive industry where a jump start system is used where the vehicle battery is depleted, as the improved jump starter system uses a magnet connection which improves the success for an engine start by providing a solid connection and closing the circuit between the jump starter and the vehicle battery.

    Abstract: An electric vehicle (EV) to EV battery charger is provided, where a source EV provides electrical charge to a recipient EV to recharge the recipient EV's battery, without requiring a connection to a grid line. The battery charger includes an input port configured to couple to an electrical port of a source electric vehicle. A power control circuit of the battery charger receives a source power signal from the source electric vehicle through the input port. A converter circuit of the battery charger converts the source power signal to an output power signal according to power requirements of a recipient electric vehicle. The battery charger further includes an output port configured to couple to a charging port of a recipient electric vehicle. A microcontroller of the battery charger is configured to manage a transfer of the output power signal to the recipient electric vehicle through the output port.

The MCU is configured to execute computer readable program code for managing an output of current from the external battery to a vehicle battery of the vehicle through the electrical coupling of the connector and the OBD port. The charging system can be used to prevent a vehicle battery from becoming discharged during extended periods of storage.

The system provides for a USB rechargeable charging circuit that can be capable of providing input low power to recharge lead acid batteries and also providing power out (preferably triple voltage and current choices) to recharge high output electronics.
