  • Patent number: 9833481
Abstract: The invention is a method of applying a joint inducing protein preferably BMP-9 or BMP-3 to an ossification center in order to create a joint, articular cartilage, or an endochondral cap. The ossification center may be one that occurs naturally such as in the case of amputation, wound healing or fracture, or, it may be artificially induced by the application of an ossification center inducing protein, which may include other BMP family proteins such as BMP-2, BMP-4 or BMP-7. Further, this invention is a method of producing joints, or joint-like structures in vitro by application of BMP-9 to cells derived from tissue regions capable of producing ossification centers, such as digit-derived fibroblasts.

  • Publication number: 20170186065
Abstract: A method for selecting a product to display on a webpage of an e-commerce website. Online user behavior data associated with a plurality of merchants selling products on the webpage is obtained. The behavior data is user actions performed online with respect to merchants. The behavior data is analyzed to determine a most relevant group of the users for each merchant. The most relevant group is compared to a targeted group of the webpage to determine a rate of overlap for each merchant. The rate of overlap represents a percentage of the most relevant group that matches the targeted group. A top merchant is selected based on the highest rate of overlap. A top product being sold by the top merchant is selected to display on the webpage. The top product is displayed on the webpage of the e-commerce web site to an end user.

  • Publication number: 20140108432
Abstract: This document publishes a method and an apparatus of recommending popular accounts in a social network service (SNS) system. In one embodiment, the method includes the following steps: analyzing relating information of a specified user stored in a network system to get preference information of the specified user; querying popular accounts matched to the preference information from popular accounts stored in the SNS system; and outputting the popular accounts matched to the preference information as recommended popular accounts for the specified user. According to the method and apparatus, t is possible to recommend popular accounts for each registered user in the SNS system with a personalized manner, and the recommended popular accounts can be pushed to the user after the user logins the SNS system. As the recommended popular accounts are very close to the preference of the user, the activity of the SNS system is significantly improved.

  • Publication number: 20060282215
Abstract: A Global Positioning System (GPS) updates an internal map database in real-time. The system has a module for collecting environmental data, a module for processing environmental data, and a module for conducting environmental data. The collecting module receives position data real-time and judges its usability. The processing module can transform the received data's format, so that the data format will be compatible with the system format. The module for conducting environmental data can insert received data and compare data to be inserted with existing system data to judge whether the GPS data should be updated. The goal of updating the system map database on the GPS in real-time is thus accomplished by the three modules.
