Publication number: 20240156624Abstract: A stent including a hybrid network cluster of open cells and closed cells arranged wherein said closed cells are connected in a configuration to be resheathable. Open cells are not connected and the stent can be unsheathed to enhance flexibility. In one embodiment a ring of proximal closed cells are tapered and the stent is retrievable by engagement of a pushwire assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2022Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: KAI MEDTECH, LLCInventors: LINH A. DINH, JOSHUA A. BENJAMIN

Publication number: 20240139007Abstract: A stent delivery system comprising a balloon catheter having a catheter shaft with a balloon mounted on a distal end with a self-expanding stent positioned on the catheter shaft proximal to the balloon (tandemly) with a delivery sheath covering the self-expanding stent. In use, the stent delivery system is advanced on the guidewire to the target lesion and the balloon is inflated to dilate the lesion. The balloon is deflated and advanced distally past the lesion until the self-expanding stent positioned proximate the lesion. The sheath is withdrawn, releasing the self-expanding stent to expand and contact the lesion. Once the self-expanding stent has expanded, the stent delivery system and guidewire are withdrawn from the lesion.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Applicant: Kai Medtech LLCInventors: Linh Dinh, Joshua Benjamin

Publication number: 20230144490Abstract: A hypotube having a laser cut wave pattern to improve flexibility. The laser cut wave pattern on the hypotube includes multiple portions that vary the pitch and angle of the cuts. The laser cut wave pattern provides flexibility while maintaining pushability further into the most tortuous vasculature. The laser cut wave pattern also provides the ability to torque the flexible hypotube back and forth, with a 1 to 1 response, without stretching the flexible hypotube. The laser cut hypotube may be used in a number of vascular or neurovascular, such as a guidewire or catheter, or delivery of a stent.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2022Publication date: May 11, 2023Applicant: Kai Medtech LLCInventor: Linh Dinh

Publication number: 20220331552Abstract: The present teachings provide a catheter shaft design and configuration for use in the delivering and deploying a medical device, and aspiration removal of occlusion. Specifically, one aspect of the present teachings provides a catheter shaft design having a four-layer construction, an ultra-thin inner layer, a first coil middle layer, and a second braid middle layer, and an outer jacket layer. The first coil middle layer of the catheter shaft is made of a flat wire with width to thickness ratio of at least 2:1. The outer jacket layer of the catheter shaft is made of three different material with a soft durometer forming the distal portion of the outer jacket, a medium durometer material forming the middle/transitional portion of the outer jacket, and a stronger durometer material forming the proximal portion of the outer jacket.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2020Publication date: October 20, 2022Applicant: SHANGHAI WALLABY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES CO., INC.Inventors: Chengcheng Feng, Linh Dinh, Jerome Choe, Cheng Ian, Earl Bardsley, Tan Dinh, Jia Sun

Patent number: 9443038Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to facilitating tag assignment to data objects as data objects are added to a tag-associated data-object storage system by users of the tag-associated data-object storage system and to facilitate subsequent display, access, and further characterization of data objects that already reside in the a tag-associated data-object storage system. Methods and systems of the present invention provide for automated tag suggestion to users in order to both increase usability of the interface provided to the tag-associated data-object storage systems as well as decrease the likelihood of unnecessary and unproductive tag proliferation within the tag-associated data-object storage system.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2011Date of Patent: September 13, 2016Assignee: Vulcan Technologies LLCInventors: Prasantha Jayakody, Linh Dinh Tran, Jiaxin Wang

Patent number: 8911450Abstract: A ureteral decompression device comprises a guide member and an anchoring structure. The guide member may be introduced through the urethra and bladder into the ureter so that the anchor structure passes a lodged kidney stone. Once past the stone, the anchor structure can be compacted to anchor the guide member in place. The anchor structure will permit leakage and the guide member will provide a leakage path directly past the stone, thus decompressing the kidney.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2013Date of Patent: December 16, 2014Assignee: Percutaneous Systems, Inc.Inventors: Robert S. Behl, Alexander L. Huang, Linh A. Dinh
