  • Publication number: 20240070949
Abstract: In various embodiments, a computer animation application automatically solves inverse kinematic problems when generating object animations. The computer animation application determines a target vector based on a target value for a joint parameter associated with a joint chain and at least one of a target position or a target orientation for an end-effector associated with the joint chain. The computer animation application executes a trained machine learning model on the target vector to generate a predicted vector that includes data associated with multiple joint parameters associated with the joint chain.

  • Publication number: 20240070517
Abstract: In various embodiments, an inverse kinematic (IK) modeling application generates models that are used to solve IK problems for object animations. The IK modeling application generates configuration vectors based on a set of joint parameters associated with a joint chain. The IK modeling application executes forward kinematic operation(s) on the joint chain based on the configuration vectors to generate target vectors. Each target vector includes data associated with at least one of a position or an orientation for an end-effector associated with the joint chain. The IK modeling application performs one or more machine learning (ML) operations on an ML model based on the configuration vectors and the target vectors to generate a trained ML model that computes a predicted joint vector associated with the joint chain based on at least one of a target position or a target orientation for the end-effector.

  • Publication number: 20230404146
Abstract: A refilling device for an article of an aerosol provision system includes refilling control circuitry. The refilling control circuitry is configured to facilitate the transfer of aerosol-generating material from a reservoir to the article when the article is coupled to the refilling device. The refilling control circuitry causes a value of a counter stored on the reservoir to be updated in response to the transfer of the aerosol-generating material. The value of the counter is indicative of the amount of an aerosol generating material in the reservoir.

Abstract: A refilling device for an article of an aerosol provision system includes refilling control circuitry. The refilling control circuitry is configured to facilitate the transfer of aerosol-generating material from a reservoir coupled to the refilling device to the article and cause a value of a counter to be updated in response to the transfer of the aerosol-generating material. The value of the counter is indicative of a number of times the article has been refilled. The refilling control circuitry determines if the article is expired based on a comparison between the updated value of the counter and a refill limit and writes data to computer-readable memory indicating that the article is expired in response to determining that the article is expired.

  • Patent number: 11736430
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for facilitating proactive two-way communication sessions. One example includes proactively sending a message, where when the message is received, the message initiates a conversation with a user across a first messaging platform. When it is dynamically determined that the first messaging platform is unavailable, a list of prioritized alternative messaging platforms is dynamically generated. A prioritized second messaging platform is selected from the list of prioritized alternative messaging platforms, and the message is dynamically modified in accordance with standards associated with the prioritized second messaging platform. When a response is then received after sending the modified message on the prioritized second messaging platform, an agent is selected from a pool of agents to respond.

  • Patent number: 11198879
Abstract: The present invention provides novel reagents and a cloning procedure based on homologous recombination for the site-directed cloning of a DNA fragment to a vector at designed site(s). The cloning reagents are made of mixture of extracts from at least two different cell types, preferably a mixture made of extracts from wild-type E. coli and S. cerevisiae. Due to the activity of the mixture of cell extracts, recombination occurs between the 3? and 5?-ends of the target DNA and at the ends of linearized vector, which facilitates in-frame construction of expression vectors.
