  • Publication number: 20200073405
Abstract: A map is received in a vehicle. The map is generated from infrastructure node sensor data specifying a location and a measurement of a physical value controlling vehicle operation at the location. A maneuver for the vehicle is determined based in part on the physical value and the location.

  • Publication number: 20200005054
Abstract: A system includes a light source configured to emit light in a wavelength in a visible range and a wavelength in an infrared range, and a vehicle including an infrared camera, and a computer programmed to identify an object based at least in part on an infrared image from the camera.

  • Publication number: 20190389472
Abstract: Data is received from a vehicle in a stationary support structure. One or more physical attributes of an infrastructure element is determined based on the vehicle data.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20190389456
Abstract: In a computer mounted to a stationary support structure a vehicle and an object proximate to the support structure can be detected from data from a sensor mounted to the support structure. A risk condition can be identified based on the detected vehicle and object.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20190310644
Abstract: A target location from a set of points that define a road can be selected. A path, from a plurality of candidate paths, to the target location, from a current vehicle location outside the set of points, based on a path length, a collision risk, a curvature of the path, and a traffic condition on the road can be selected. The vehicle can be navigated according to the selected path.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 5, 2018
    Publication date: October 10, 2019
    Applicant: Ford Global Technologies, LLC
    Inventor: LINJUN ZHANG
  • Publication number: 20180173229
Abstract: A method for performing advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions for a vehicle includes receiving a plurality of inputs from a plurality of sensors disposed on the vehicle, determining a pool of location candidates of the vehicle based on a first subset of the plurality of inputs, iteratively updating the pool of location candidates based on a second subset of the plurality of inputs, generating an estimate of vehicle location based on an average of location candidates, evaluating a confidence level of the estimate of vehicle location, generating a beyond line-of-sight situation awareness based on the plurality of inputs and locating the vehicle on a digital map based on the confidence level and the estimate of vehicle location, and performing ADAS functions based on the beyond line-of-sight situation awareness and location of the vehicle on the digital map.
