  • Patent number: 11852363
Abstract: A safety system, under the control of an operator, used for venting toxic or hazardous gas and vapors from a work space. The safety system includes a control system, programmed by a computer, a control panel, a human machine interface (HMI), a gas detector, and an alarm. The HMI is adapted for use by the operator and for operating the safety system. The safety system includes a mechanical solvent, or gas (CO2) based, chemical extraction system, used for extracting oils from oil-bearing plants. The extraction system, comprising a solvent recovery system, is attached to and under the control of the control system. The safety system includes a ventilation system attached to, and under the control of, the control system. The ventilation system is used for venting the gas and vapors from the work space.

  • Patent number: 10232286
Abstract: An oil extraction booth, comprising: first and second pre-fabricated modules securable to each other to create a first air-tight interior work space; an inlet blower; an exhaust blower; a sensor sensitive to the presence of a gas within the work space; and a controller electrically coupled to control the speed of the inlet blower and the exhaust blower and electrically coupled to receive a signal from the sensor indicative of an amount of the gas in the work space. The controller is configured to operate the inlet blower and the outlet blower at a first speed when the amount of the gas detected by the sensor is less than a first predetermined value and operate the inlet blower and the outlet blower at a second, higher speed when the amount of the gas equals or exceeds the first predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20170028315
Abstract: A leaching vessel system and method for extracting oils from plant material is provided. The leaching vessel distribution and emptying system of the present invention is configured to avoid and prevent many of the inherent problems with conventional leaching methods, including channeling, excess compaction of feed, plugging, and the like. The leaching vessel can include modular nested sections having a main stem and one or more spaced screens or like structures adapted for housing within a vessel main body.

  • Patent number: 4551314
Abstract: A solvent extraction process is provided for transferring metal values from one immiscible liquid phase to another, whereby the two liquid phases are vigorously mixed together in a first mixer under conditions in which one liquid phase is rendered continuous, the mixing being continued to effect complete transfer of metal values, and the mixture then passed to a second mixer and the two phases mixed under conditions in which the other phase is rendered continuous, whereby when the two phases are fed to a settler, the rate of disengagement of the two immiscible liquids is substantially increased.
