A method of managing battery charging using a single chip and a charger coupled to a battery includes (1) using a single chip to determine a charging voltage and a charging current of the battery, which correlate to a residual capacitance of the battery, and (2) controlling the charger to charge the battery in accordance with the determined charging voltage and charging current.
