  • Publication number: 20110130472
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to compositions comprising the proteose peptone fraction (PPf). In particular, the present invention relates to a method for the production of an extract comprising a demineralised protein fraction depleted in ?-lactoglobulin and enriched in the PPf and to uses of these extracts, e.g. in a food product, a food supplement, a nutritional, a pharmaceutical and/or a cosmetic composition, for example as emulsifier or as foaming agent. The PPf fraction of the present invention may be obtained by adjustment of the pH of an aqueous native protein dispersion to about 5.6 to 8.4, or to about 3.5 to 5.0, heating the aqueous native protein dispersion to about 70-95° C. for about 10 seconds to 60 minutes, removing at least a part of the formed solid large molecular weight aggregates with a diameter of at least 100 nm from the aqueous protein dispersion after heating and collecting the remaining liquid fraction of the dispersion.

  • Publication number: 20090173798
Abstract: The thermostatic element (36) includes a cup (38) and a piston (40) that is movable in translation along an axis under the effect of the expansion of a thermodilatable material contained in the cup. • Patent number: 7246375
Abstract: The invention concerns a method solving security problems resulting from the addition of a security circuit to a smart card reading terminal by providing said security circuit with means for counting the number of times the security circuit is activated for certain sensitive operations. When the total of said operations reaches a fixed value, the security circuit is prevented from operating until it is re-initialized again. Optionally, the circuit may have to be replaced by another.

  • Patent number: 6505580
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve-type device including a housing having a fluid access (7) which is shut off by a shutter (9) secured to an actuator (10) as a function of the temperature of the fluid passing through the device. The device also includes an expanding-material safety thermostatic element (22) located in the stream of fluid passing through the housing. The element 22 actuates the shutter (9) when, as a result of defective operation of the actuator (10) or of its control equipment, the shutter has not been moved by the actuator. The actuator also consists of an expanding-material thermostatic element containing a heating means (13) connected to control equipment.

  • Patent number: 6471134
Abstract: A device, which can be used in the cooling circuits of internal combustion engines comprises a chamber (3) having at least three ports (4, 5, 6) two of which can be closed off by valves (9, 10) carried by a main thermostatic element (7) housed partially in the chamber. One valve moves away from its seat when the other moves towards its own seat. A pipe (1) entering the chamber (3) via one of the two seats contains a thermostatic threshold-setting element (17) carrying a moveable compensator (21) provided with a moveable stop (16) for the main thermostatic element (7). The thermostatic setting element (17) has an electrical heater which can be connected to an electrical power supply that can be selectively activated and deactivated in order, when deactivated, to decrease the distance between the stop (16) and the seat (14) in the pipe and thus the temperature for which this seat is released.

  • Patent number: 6439467
Abstract: A thermostatic device comprises a chamber with ports, at least one of which can be closed off by a valve carried by a moving part of a metering thermostatic element. In order to obtain two reliable levels of regulation, and to maintain regulation unless the device is completely destroyed, a duct opening into the chamber via a seat for the valve contains at least one region of a thermostatic element for adjusting the regulation threshold containing selectively operated heating means and comprises a stop for the thermostatic element. The stop can itself move in the direction of movement of the moving part so as to move closer to the seat when the heating means are switched on.
