  • Patent number: 11530632
Abstract: An oil filter for a motor vehicle includes a filter cartridge disposed in an oil filter housing. A piston of the filter cartridge is displaceable in the oil filter housing in an axial direction of the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge has a closure element where the closure element is held at an end of at least one strut of the filter cartridge and where a free end of the at least one strut is supported in the oil filter housing. The piston is displaceable relative to the at least one strut in the axial direction of the filter cartridge.

  • Patent number: 11504656
Abstract: An oil filter for a motor vehicle has a filter cartridge which is disposed in an oil filter housing of the oil filter. The filter cartridge has a channel for filtered oil which is surrounded at least regionally by a filter material in the radial direction. At least one through opening is formed in a wall of the channel. An emergence of filtered oil via the at least one through opening into a channel for the filtered oil provided on sides of the oil filter housing is preventable by bringing the filter cartridge into a first position. An inlet into the channel provided on sides of the oil filter housing fluidically connectable to the at least one through opening by bringing the filter cartridge into a second position in which the filter cartridge is shifted relative to the first position in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 8307648
Abstract: In a compressor of a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine comprising a housing with an inflow channel; a compressor impeller arranged in the inflow channel; and a bypass channel which has a first flow opening upstream of the compressor impeller inlet, a second flow opening downstream of the compressor impeller inlet and an axial annular chamber which connects the first and the second flow openings. An axial vane structure is provided in the axial annular chamber of the bypass channel, which imparts a swirl direction corresponding to that of the air mass flow in the inflow channel to the air mass flowing through the bypass channel from the second to the first flow opening.

  • Patent number: 7010916
Abstract: In an exhaust gas turbocharger including a compressor wheel, the compressor wheel is cooled by at least one nozzle which is arranged in close axial proximity to the axis of rotation of the compressor wheel for spraying the backside of the compressor wheel near the center thereof with coolant whereby the coolant, utilizing the centrifugal forces of the rotating compressor wheel, is completely distributed over the entire wheel back surfaces.
