  • Patent number: 7825763
Abstract: The current transformer comprises at least two partial circuits (CBn) each comprising a Rogowski type winding (Cn), each of said the partial circuits being made in the form of an angular portion of a complete circuit (CB) which surrounds at least one primary conductor (10, 10A, 10B, 10C) of the transformer over 360°. The winding (Cn) of each partial circuit (CBn) is constituted by a go winding (Cn0) and by a return winding (Cn1) which extend over the angular extent (?n) of the partial circuit (CBn). For each partial circuit (CBn), the go and return windings are electrically connected in series, both having turns wound in the same direction so as to form a single winding (Cn) which presents a pair of adjacent electrical terminations (T1n, T2n) connected to an acquisition system (7, 7?).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 2005
Date of Patent: November 2, 2010
    Assignee: Areva T&D SA
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Dupraz, Lionel Lucot, Olivier Chuniaud, Bernard Regnier
  • Patent number: 7184895
Abstract: A method and system of non-intrusively monitoring the proportion of a component in a gaseous mixture having at least two components and contained in an electrical switchgear enclosure includes measuring the pressure, the temperature, and the density of the gas mixture by using sensors mounted on said enclosure, and in determining said proportion by processing the measured values in a data-processing unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 8, 2002
Date of Patent: February 27, 2007
    Assignee: Alstom
Inventors: Olfa Chetay, Jean-Pierre Dupraz, Lionel Lucot, Didier Taponat

  • Patent number: 5604437
Abstract: A device for measuring circuit breaker wear by integrating the square of the current to be interrupted, said circuit breaker including a control that is actuated by a trip coil. The device includes a timing delay circuit that is actuated by a signal corresponding to a change in the driven or non-drive state of the trip coil, the timing delay circuit causing integration to begin after time has elapsed that is equal to the mechanical delay of the circuit breaker, which mechanical delay is a previously-measured data item. The device further includes a circuit that delivers a signal proportional to the current carried by the circuit breaker, a circuit that squares the signal, and that applies said square to the integrator, said integration being performed for a given length of time that is longer than the maximum arcing time of the circuit breaker, which maximum arcing time is likewise a previously measured data item, the result of the integration being applied to a summing circuit.
