  • Patent number: 7797869
Abstract: A preferably weather resistant multi-section upright stanchion assembly for a construction site document storage apparatus, a real estate display sign and the like. The stanchion assembly includes a plurality of elongated substantially similar stanchion sections and a ground-engaging tip. Each stanchion section includes an elongated body having a hollow first end thereof and a second end thereof sized for slidable, releasable, lockable engagement into said first end of the next adjacent stanchion section to facilitate ease of height adjustment of the stanchion assembly. The stanchion assembly releasably connects at one end into a mating support cavity formed between the front and back panels of the inner frame of the storage apparatus. A single or two spaced upright stanchion assemblies support two horizontal spaced display panel support arms which, in turn, support a preferably multi-panel display sign.

  • Publication number: 20100199907
Abstract: A device having: a chamber having a gas inlet, a gas vent, and a liquid vent; and a float and a weight coupled to the chamber. The float has a lower density than the chamber. The weight has a higher density than the chamber. The aggregate density of the chamber, the float, and the weight is greater than the density of the chamber. The gas inlet, the gas vent, the liquid vent, the float, and the weight are positioned on the chamber such that: when the chamber is filled with and submerged in a liquid in which the chamber is neutrally-buoyant, the chamber is oriented to place the gas vent below the gas inlet; and when a gas is introduced through the gas inlet into the chamber that is filled with the liquid, the chamber pivots to raise the gas vent until a portion of the gas escapes from the chamber through only the gas vent.

  • Patent number: 7578087
Abstract: A weather resistant construction site document storage apparatus including an outer enclosure having a front, a back, two spaced side and top panels formed as a single weather-sealed unit having an open bottom thereof. An inner document frame has a top, two spaced side, and back panels, all of which are formed as a single unit. A document retaining panel is connected to, and upwardly extends from, the bottom panel of the inner frame to define a trough, a remainder of a front surface of the inner frame being rearwardly displaced adjacent the back panel to provide an open interior volume for document placement. The outer enclosure is sized for close non-binding sliding engagement over the inner frame to cover the open front surface and to weather protect documents placed into the interior volume. Mating sliding engagement between the inner frame and the outer enclosure allow the outer enclosure to be slidably lifted upwardly and releasably held thusly for document placement and removal.

  • Patent number: 7434507
Abstract: A system and trash receptacle for compacting trash within the trash receptacle including a receptacle having upstanding front, side and back panels, a closed bottom, and a lid. The front panel is pivotably movable about a lower pivot axis located at a lower margin thereof by a drivable power unit operably connected between one side panel and front panel. This pivotal movement of the front panel into the interior volume of the receptacle compacts the trash within the receptacle to minimize the frequency of receptacle emptying required. A vehicle includes a power output which is temporarily engagable with the power unit as the vehicle is driven up to the trash receptacle, the power output driving the power unit to close the front panel to compact the trash within the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 7427238
Abstract: A golf club swinging guide releasably attachable to a lower end of a golf club shaft. The guide includes a housing having a stationary member with an alignment portion which is adjustably alignable perpendicular to the striking face of the golf club head. A wind vane is connected for free rotation to the housing about an upright axis of rotation oriented generally parallel to the club shaft. The wind vane, being responsive to movement of air, thereby visually aligns itself to the direction that the golf club is swung. Visual misalignment between the stationary portion and the actual direction of golf club swing at the moment of golf ball impact is discerned by an electronic circuit within the housing producing a sensorially perceivable output.

  • Publication number: 20070240335
Abstract: A shoe system having one or more shoe bases and one or more interchangeable scarves. The interchangeable scarves are used to secure at least a portion of a shoe base to the wearer. Each scarf member is constructed from a pliable material and includes a rigid aglet at one or both ends thereof which has cross-sectional shape which substantially matches or mates with the cross-sectional shape of an aperture formed in each shoe base, or on an extension thereof, comprising the shoe system.

  • Publication number: 20060089605
Abstract: A needleless connector for adding medication to a parenteral fluid is provided. The needleless connector comprises a connector adapted to receive a syringe and having a check valve to seal the port in place of a puncture pad. The check valve comprises a resilient disc held in place and biased closed by the tensile stress of the check valve material. When a syringe or other apparatus having a male luer connector is engaged with the connector and fluid pressure is applied to the check valve the resilient disc is deformed which allows the medication to flow through the connector into the tubing and thus to the patient.

  • Publication number: 20050062339
Abstract: A display wheel cover assembly uniquely connectable to, and removable from, a rotatable wheel of a vehicle. This invention includes an adapter plate releasably connectable by unique replacement lug nuts to the outside of the wheel serving as combination spacers and lug nuts. A support bearing member is connected coaxially with a hub of the adapter plate. A wheel cover including a key-actuated locking support having a coaxially extending support shaft is rotatably supported in the support bearing member. An elongated cylindrical locking member is positioned within a longitudinal aperture formed through the support shaft, while a cam member, connected to a distal end of the locking member, has a non-symmetric periphery such that, when properly rotatably orientated, is fully insertable into said support bearing member. In a second rotational orientation, the cam member prevents withdrawal of the support shaft from the support bearing member.
