Patent number: 8720718Abstract: A foldable carrying case is described that has an integrated one-piece body of hingeably connected panels, and flexible gussets hingeably connected to the panels. The body is further provided with releasable fasteners. The body converts from a plane configuration to a container configuration, and vice versa. The container configuration is formed by folding the panels and the gussets, and the panels and gussets are connected by the releasable fasteners to prevent the container from unfolding. Also described is a method for making and using such a foldable carrying case. Also described is a kit including such a foldable carrying case and at least one storage container.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2008Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Inventors: Nancy O. Myers, Michael O. Myers, Peter C. King, Lisa A. King

Patent number: 8414798Abstract: Embodiments of a process for producing syngas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide from a gas stream comprising methane are provided. The process comprises the step of contacting the gas stream with a two-component catalyst system comprising an apatite component and a perovskite component at reaction conditions effective to convert the methane to the syngas.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2010Date of Patent: April 9, 2013Assignee: UOP LLCInventors: Colleen Costello, Lisa King, Paul Barger, Deng-Yang Jen, Robert B. Patent number: 8404910Abstract: Methods are provided for producing low oxygen biomass-derived pyrolysis oil from carbonaceous biomass feedstock. The carbonaceous biomass feedstock is pyrolyzed in the presence of a steam reforming catalyst to produce char and pyrolysis gases. During pyrolysis, a portion of the oxygenated hydrocarbons in the pyrolysis gases is converted into hydrocarbons by steam reforming also yielding carbon oxides and hydrogen gas. The hydrogen gas at least partially deoxygenates a residual portion of the oxygenated hydrocarbons. Additional hydrogen gas may also be produced by water-gas shift reactions to deoxygenate the residual portion of the oxygenated hydrocarbons in the pyrolysis gases. Deoxygenation may occur in the presence of a hydroprocessing catalyst. A condensable portion of the pyrolysis gases is condensed to form low oxygen biomass-derived pyrolysis oil.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2010Date of Patent: March 26, 2013Assignee: UOP LLCInventors: Joseph A. Kocal, Richard Marinangeli, Francis Stephen Lupton, Lisa King

Patent number: 8290481Abstract: A panel has been provided to a wireless device that turns off all RF capability of the wireless device (including, but not limited to notifications, wireless web clipping, instant messaging, email sending/receiving, phone calls, etc.). The panel is brought up on a screen of the wireless device by pressing a programmed hard button for more than 1 second. Once the RF capability has been turned off, if the user attempts to access a program or other device that requires the RF capabilities, a notification is displayed that identifies the RF capabilities as being disabled and prompts the user whether to continue. If the user continues, the RF device is automatically enabled, otherwise the RF device remains disabled.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2008Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Craig S. Skinner, John Richard Brown, Mindy Chahel, Lisa King
