  • Patent number: 7174297
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are disclosed for dynamically configuring a speech recognition portal. A session with a user is conducted utilizing a speech recognition portal which provides access to a network during the session. Utterances are received from the user during the session via the speech recognition portal. A speech recognition process is performed on the utterances to interpret the utterances. During the session, one or more aspects of the speech recognition portal are dynamically configured.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7024364
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for determining an address of an entity based on a user location are disclosed. An utterance representative of an entity is initially received from a user. The entity associated with the utterance is then recognized using a speech recognition process. Next, a location of the user is determined. A query is performed to identify a plurality of locations associated with the entity. Based on the results of the query and the location of the user, it is ascertained which of the identified locations associated with the entity are in proximity to the location of the user.

  • Patent number: 6701490
Abstract: Cycle and phase accurate hardware-software coverification is disclosed. According to the present disclosure, “cycle accurate” or “phase-accurate” hardware-software coverification is performed while substantially maintaining a high speed for performing the coverification. System activities are divided into a “pre-compute” and a “post-compute” category. Those activities which fall in the pre-compute category are evaluated to ensure that updates to the state of the system are performed on a clock edge immediately following a change in system inputs affecting the state of the system. The state of the system is then updated on the same clock edge at which the pre-compute operation was performed. Those activities which fall in the post-compute category are then evaluated at the same clock edge on which the state of the system was updated.

  • Publication number: 20020173961
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for enhanced speech synthesis. Initially, a string of words to be outputted is received. In response thereto, a database of words is queried to match the string of words for output purposes. If, however, no match is made, the string of words is parsed. The database of words is queried to match the parsed string of words for output purposes.

  • Publication number: 20020169604
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for genre-based speech recognition. Initially, utterances are received from a user. Thereafter, a genre associated with the user is determined based on information independent from the utterances of the user. At least one acoustic model and/or grammar may then be selected based on the genre determination. Accordingly, the utterances may be recognized utilizing the selected acoustic model(s) and/or grammar(s) for the purpose of providing a service to the user.

  • Publication number: 20020169605
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for verifying utterances in a database. Initially, a plurality of utterances are stored in a database each in a separate file. Next, a transcription associated with each of the utterances is identified. The utterance in each file is subsequently recognized utilizing speech recognition. The utterances in the database are then verified utilizing an output of the speech recognition step and the transcription associated with the utterance in each file.
