  • Patent number: 8357000
Abstract: An electrical make-break connection for an apparatus having a recoiling portion and a non-recoiling portion may include a non-recoiling assembly fixed to the non-recoiling portion and a recoiling assembly fixed to the recoiling portion. Each of the non-recoiling and recoiling assemblies may include a mounting bracket and an electrical contact assembly disposed in the mounting bracket. Each contact assembly may include one or more electrical conductors. The non-recoiling contact assembly may float in its mounting bracket. Part of the mating surface of the recoiling contact assembly may be more elastic than part of the mating surface of the non-recoiling contact assembly. Elastic deformation of the recoiling mating surface by the non-recoiling mating surface may provide a fluid seal for the make-break connection.

  • Patent number: 7544733
Abstract: Aqueous coating compositions are described where the binder includes an anionically stabilized polymeric dispersion. The monomers used to prepare the dispersion are acrylic acid and methacrylic acid as a carboxylic monomer and styrene, alpha methyl styrene or vinyl toluene as a hydrophobic high Tg aromatic monomer and an alkyl acrylate ester as a low Tg monomer. The relative weight proportions of the monomers are required to satisfy a formula. Blends of high and low Tg dispersions are also described. Paints formulated with the binders exhibit an excellent balance of stain resistance, tint strength and viscosity stability.

  • Publication number: 20070151439
Abstract: A primer feed mechanism mounted on a carrier of an artillery piece includes a body assembly for mounting the primer feed mechanism on the carrier, the body assembly having guide rails and a follower plate; a tray assembly that is movable on the guide rails of the body assembly, the tray assembly including a housing and an injector arm assembly; an actuator drive link connected to the carrier; a quick release link connected to the actuator drive link; and a drive link assembly connected to the quick release link and to the injector arm assembly; wherein one end of the injector arm assembly includes a push pin that reciprocates in the housing to inject a primer and another end of the injector arm assembly includes a follower that travels in the follower plate of the body assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050217469
Abstract: An automatic primer feed mechanism for use with a carrier assembly of a large caliber artillery piece, which includes mechanical assemblies for automatic primer loading after full breech closure and allows for spent primer cartridges to be extracted before opening of the breech to maximize safety, thereby allowing the gun crew to perform artillery piece misfire, sticker and check fire operations before the breech is opened. The mechanism includes a body member that mounts the automatic feed mechanism to the carrier of the artillery piece so as to interface with the carrier to position the mechanism on one side of the breech of the artillery piece. The body member includes a cam surface member, which provides a path for movement of an injection arm member. The tray member has guide rails for engagement with the body, which slides in relation thereto. A magazine containing a plurality of primer cartridges, which inserts in a receiver channel located in the tray member.

  • Publication number: 20040254287
Abstract: Aqueous coating compositions are described where the binder includes an anionically stabilised addition polymerised polymeric dispersion. • Patent number: 6420474
Abstract: Aqueous coating composition are described wherein the binder includes an anionically stabilized addition polymerized dispersion of a polymer. The monomers used to prepare the dispersion are acrylic cid and methyacrylic acid, as carboxylic monomers and styrene, alpha-methyl styrene or vinyl toluene as a hydrophobic high Tg aromatic monomer. Acrylate ester is used as a low Tg monomer. The relative weight proportions of the monomers are required to satisfy the designated formula. Blends of high and low Tg dispersions are also provided. Pains formulated with the binders of present invention exhibit excellent balance of stain resistance, tint strength and viscosity stability.
