Abstract: Systems and methods of determining environmental sustainability of a piece of real estate or real estate portfolio are presented. The systems and methods may include identifying a plurality of sustainability inputs, such as recycling, carpet recycling, water use reduction, LEED certified space, renewable energy generation, green cleaning and environmental compliance. Values for each of the inputs may be determined and combined to determine a sustainability index for the property or portfolio. The index may be calculated monthly, quarterly, annually, etc. to track performance of the property and/or portfolio and to identify areas needing improvement.
