Abstract: A natural and dual-functioning topical skin care composition for exfoliating and moisturizing the skin. The compositions include undissolved, water-soluble Camu Camu particles as an exfoliant in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The compositions are anhydrous or substantially free of water to retain the exfoliant Camu Camu particles in the composition as it is applied and rubbed onto the skin. The compositions provide a rinse-free way to exfoliate the skin with the application of minute amounts of water to dissolve the vitamin C enriched Camu Camu particles of the compositions that may then be absorbed into the skin.

Abstract: A system and method for displaying an esophageal operation includes a display device, an interface capable of receiving esophageal impedance and pressure measurements, and a processing system in communication with the display device, the interface, and an esophageal operation model. The processing system is configured to receive a plurality of impedance values from a first plurality of spaced-apart esophageal locations, receive a plurality of pressure values from a second plurality of spaced-apart esophageal locations, process the plurality of impedance values and the plurality of pressure values with the esophageal operation model, display the plurality of impedance values on the display device as a bolus transit, and display the plurality of pressure values on the display device as operational esophagus movement.

Abstract: The present invention provides an enteral nutritional formulation that meets the nutrient requirements of patients with wounds. The present invention meets the unique nutrient needs of the acute or chronic patient that are generated due to tissue repair and healing requirements of wounds. To this end, in an embodiment, the present invention provides a method for providing nutritional support to a patient with an acute or chronic wound comprising the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of composition comprising a protein source including an arginine source and a proline source in the ratio by weight of approximately 1:0.5 to about 4:1. The composition may also include a carbohydrate source, a lipid source including an appropriate n6:n3 ratio, and at least the U.S. RDA for vitamins and minerals provided in an amount of formula supplying 1000 kcal, with vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, thiamine, pyridoxine, biotin and zinc being supplied in amounts above the U.S. RDAs.
