  • Publication number: 20250100705
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods for leak detection and mitigation for hydrogen fueled aircraft are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes machine readable instructions, and programmable circuitry to at least one of instantiate or execute the machine readable instructions to determine a hydrogen concentration threshold for a location within an undercowl of an engine of an aircraft, based on an engine condition of the aircraft, determine, based on an output of a hydrogen concentration sensor within the undercowl, a hydrogen concentration at the location, compare the hydrogen concentration to the hydrogen concentration threshold, and conduct a mitigation action in the hydrogen fuel distribution system based on the comparison of the hydrogen concentration and the hydrogen concentration threshold.

  • Patent number: 12092042
Abstract: A method of operating a fuel system for a vehicle having an engine, the fuel system comprising a fuel delivery system, the fuel delivery system including a liquid hydrogen delivery assembly and a regulator assembly, the regulator assembly having a buffer tank, the method including: providing a first flow of hydrogen fuel from a liquid hydrogen fuel tank through the liquid hydrogen delivery assembly to the regulator assembly, wherein providing the first flow of hydrogen fuel includes pumping the first flow of hydrogen fuel through the liquid hydrogen delivery assembly using a pump at a first fuel flowrate; receiving data indicative of a commanded fuel flowrate to the engine, wherein the commanded fuel flowrate is higher than the first fuel flowrate; and providing stored hydrogen fuel from a gaseous fuel storage to the engine.

  • Publication number: 20240177810
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for managing a hydrogen storage and distribution system. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes an apparatus comprising memory and one or more processors to execute instructions to detect, via hydrogen concentration data, an elevated hydrogen concentration at a hydrogen storage system, determine a mass flow rate of a leak associated with the elevated hydrogen concentration based on the hydrogen concentration data and a location of a sensor associated with the hydrogen concentration data, and mitigate the leak by sending a signal to one or more controllable features of the hydrogen storage system based on the determined mass flow rate.

  • Patent number: 9782354
Abstract: An oral enteric delivery system includes an outer shell assembled from multiple solid shell segments joined together by a binder. The binder does not dissolve upon exposure to the gastric environment, but it dissolves in the upper small intestine, causing the shell to disintegrate and causing the payload contained within the shell to be released in the digestive tube downstream of the stomach.
