  • Publication number: 20240336658
Abstract: A cyclic peptide, and a preparation method and use thereof. The cyclic peptide is a series of head-to-tail cyclic peptides or N-terminal and C-terminal cyclized peptides with triazole rings, which are prepared by an azido-alkyne cycloaddition reaction of the whole sequence of linear histamine or the truncated sequence of a linear Hst1 under specific conditions. The biological activity of the full-sequence head-to-tail cyclic peptide or N-terminal and C-terminal cyclized peptide is increased by more than 1,000 times compared with that of the linear histamine, can significantly improve a dose-effect ratio and clinical efficacy of the histamine over the existing histamine cyclic peptide.

  • Publication number: 20240016978
Abstract: An efficient biphasic calcium phosphate coating method. A high-concentration (4.5×) supersaturated calcium phosphate solution (SCPS) is used for coating and a thicker continuous coating is formed on a titanium disc. The coating contains dicalcium phosphate dihydrate and hydroxyapatite. The coating has improved encapsulation efficiency of a protein FITC-BSA and releases less Ca2+ under an acidic condition. A more efficient coating with a high yield and a protein encapsulation efficiency can be obtained with a less SCPS solution volume and a shorter coating time, such that a cost is greatly reduced in clinical application and the coating is very expected to be used in an osteogenic implant material in the biomedical field.

  • Patent number: 8656528
Abstract: A patient transfer board including an elongated board body that extends lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between leading and trailing ends of the board body. The transfer board has a top side and an underside of the board body. The underside includes first and second side edges that extend along the longitudinal axis. The underside includes alignment slots having respective openings at the first side edge. The alignment slots are defined by interior sidewalls. The alignment slots are configured to receive reference elements of the patient table through the respective openings when the transfer board is moved in a lateral direction that is generally transverse to the longitudinal axis. The sidewalls are configured to engage the corresponding reference elements and direct the transfer board toward a designated position.
