  • Publication number: 20230026781
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for producing a gas separation article, said gas separation article comprising: a gas separation membrane, optionally a support, and optionally an additional support said method comprising the steps of: a) providing a matrix comprising: a matrix material having a viscosity from 1 cP to 40000 cP, particles, said particles being free from functionalized carbon nanotubes, and optionally a solvent, b) contacting the matrix of step a) with a support comprising at least one side, said at least one side facing said matrix, thereby forming (i) a matrix side in contact with the support and (ii) a matrix side opposite the side in contact with the support, c) optionally contacting the matrix side opposite the side contacting the support with an additional support, d) subjecting said matrix being in contact with said support to one or more electric fields whereby the particles form particle groups in a plurality of substantially parallel planes, said particle groups in each of said plu

  • Publication number: 20180264399
Abstract: A membrane contactor system for separating CO2 from a mixed gaseous feed stream comprising CO2, said contactor system comprising: (i) a composite membrane, said membrane having a permeate side and a retentate side; (ii) said retentate side being exposed to a mixed gaseous feed stream comprising carbon dioxide; (iii) said permeate side being exposed to a carbon dioxide capture organic solvent; (iv) said composite membrane comprising a porous layer and a non-porous selective polymer layer, said non-porous selective polymer layer selectively allowing transport of CO2 across the composite membrane from said mixed gaseous feed stream so that it dissolves in said capture solvent whilst limiting the transport of said capture solvent across the composite membrane.

  • Publication number: 20160206993
Abstract: A process for separating at least one gas (e.g. at least one of CO2, H2S and/or NH3) from a mixed gaseous feed stream, said process comprising (i) Passing said mixed gaseous feed stream through a first membrane contactor comprising a first membrane and a liquid absorbent at a first pressure, such that the liquid absorbent absorbs the at least one gas from the mixed gaseous feed stream to form a rich liquid absorbent; (ii) Feeding said rich liquid absorbent to a second membrane contactor comprising a second membrane at a second pressure; (iii) Desorbing said at least one gas (e.g. at least one of CO2, H2S and/or NH3) from the rich liquid absorbent in the second membrane contactor; and (vi) Recirculating all or at least a part of the liquid absorbent from the second membrane contactor back to the first membrane.

  • Publication number: 20120112218
Abstract: An apparatus for emitting polarized light and a method for fabricating such apparatus are provided. The apparatus includes a surface emission light emitting diode (LED), a first electrode, and a sub-wavelength metal grating (SWMG). The surface emission LED includes a first contact surface and a second contact surface. The first electrode is coupled to the first contact surface. The SWMG is formed on a surface of the surface emission LED.
