  • Patent number: 4962858
Abstract: What is disclosed is method and apparatus for alleviating the problem with cleaning of sluice boxes. The invention is characterized by continuous cleaning of an endless belt onto which the heavy metal concentrate is projected by a conventional sluice boxes, shaker screens and the like, and eliminating the down time of the apparatus for cleaning, as in the prior art. This down time is approximately fifty percent of the time.

  • Patent number: 4422818
Abstract: An improvement in scrapper type vehicle, for handling junk cars and the like, having a frame mounted on wheels and having a prime mover powering the vehicle, characterized by a pair of beams having their inner ends pivotally attached to the frame at a pair of respective first points for pivotal movement about the first transverse, horizontal axis thereat; a lifting fork pivotally attached to the main beams at their respective outer ends at a pair of respective second points and having lift prongs adapted to load the junk cars onto a transport vehicle; elevating rams connected with the main beams and the frame for elevating the junk cars; and load fork tilting rams attached to the main frame at a pair of respective third points for pivotal movement about a second transverse, horizontal axis thereat. The lift fork tilting rams are attached to the lift fork at a pair of respective fourth points.

  • Patent number: 4271918
Abstract: This specification discloses an off-road vehicle employing an improved hydrostatic drive system including engine driven variable displacement pumps having respective actuating members for varying displacement in two directions equivalent to forward and reverse directions, wheel motors at each wheel representing hydraulic actuating device operable by the fluid from the pump, hydraulic reservoir, serially interconnecting supply and return lines, and an improvement comprising one or more operator control members and a sensitivity control means for controlling the range of movement of the actuating member responsive to movement of the operating control member in a respective direction. Also disclosed is a preferred embodiment in which four wheel hydrostatic drive is employed with an option of converting the hydraulic fluid output that normally goes to one set of wheels such that all of the fluid goes to the other set of wheels for road speed operation.

  • Patent number: 4236591
Abstract: This specification discloses an off-road vehicle that both articulates and oscillates, thereby enabling achieving a highly maneuverable, more nearly level working platform from which attachments can be operated with utmost effectiveness. The vehicle is characterized by front and rear sections, each carried by two wheels and connected at an articulating steering joint with steering rams and steering means; and a mechanism on the front section for leveling the front section. The leveling mechanism includes a front frame member that supplies the main structural support for the front section and is pivotally connected with a front axle, with hydraulic rams disposed on either side of the pivotal connection and connected via control valve with a source of high pressure hydraulic fluid for attaining and holding a predetermined, or substantially level, position.

  • Patent number: 4215547
Abstract: This specification discloses an off-road type vehicle employing an improved hydrostatic drive system having a variable displacement pump having an actuating member for varying displacement in at least one direction, wheel motors representing actuatable devices operable by fluid from the pump, hydraulic reservoir, serially interconnecting supply and return lines and an improvement comprising an over control compensation that includes high pressure relief valves on the high pressure supply lines; a neutralizing means for moving the actuating member back toward its neutral position responsive to hydraulic pressure released by the relief valves, and a bleed-off means connected with the neutralizing means and adapted to bleed-off high pressure hydraulic fluid to allow restoring operation and a bleed-off return for returning the bleed-off hydraulic fluid to the reservoir.
