  • Patent number: 10646206
Abstract: A medical diagnostic ultrasound imaging system and method are provided for communicating with a server during an examination of a patient using first and second communication channels. Communication between the controller and the server via the second communication channel occurs within a predetermined amount of time. In one embodiment, the controller of the medical diagnostic ultrasound imaging system is configured to send and receive different information via the first communication channel than via the second communication channel. In another embodiment, communication between the controller and the server via the second communication channel is faster than communication between the controller and the server via the first communication channel. Other embodiments are presented, and each embodiment can be used alone or in combination with each other.

  • Publication number: 20190015080
Abstract: A medical diagnostic ultrasound imaging system and method are provided for receiving information from a server during an examination of a patient to improve workflow. The information provided from the server can be information stored in a server-accessible storage location or generated by the server. The medical diagnostic ultrasound imaging system and server can have bi-directional communication to interact during the examination of the patient.

  • Patent number: 6253214
Abstract: An ultrasound image information archiving system is provided for storing a reference copy of ultrasound image information. The system comprises a primary storage device, a secondary storage device, and control means for retrieving ultrasound image information, creating a reference copy of the ultrasound image information, and storing the reference copy in the secondary storage device. The system can be used in a method for storing a reference copy of ultrasound image information in which ultrasound image information is retrieved from a primary storage device and a reference copy of ultrasound image information is created and then stored in a secondary storage device. The system can also be used with a more general ultrasound image information archiving method.

  • Patent number: 4048499
Abstract: In an infrared laser absorption spectrometer, an infrared laser beam of predetermined wavelength, in the infrared absorption spectrum, is beamed into a liquid sample under analysis. Components of the liquid sample absorb energy from the infrared beam, as a function of the infrared wavelength of the beam, to produce heating of the liquid. A thermal detector is disposed in heat exchanging relation with the liquid sample for detecting the heating effect in the liquid due to absorption of the infrared radiation. This detection scheme is particularly useful for monitoring the effluent of a liquid chromatograph as it provides specific detection.

  • Patent number: 4044257
Abstract: Sample material of retention time peaks of a chromatograph are exposed to infrared radiation at first and second wavelengths and the absorption of the infrared energy by the sample peak is measured. The measured infrared absorption at the first and second wavelengths is correlated with the retention time of the sample peak as an identification of the sample material. In addition, overlapping retention time peaks are resolved by detecting the change in the ratio of the infrared absorption at the first and second wavelengths as a function of retention time for a given peak.

  • Patent number: 3987304
Abstract: In an infrared laser optoacoustic spectrometer, the optoacoustic cell is acoustically isolated from a flowing stream to be analyzed, such as the output stream of a retention time chromatograph, by means of mufflers disposed upstream and downstream of the optoacoustic cell.
