Abstract: A door security hardware system for existing construction that provides a hardware connection between a striker plate that is connected to a wooden door jamb and a chain that is connected to a wall adjacent the wooden door jamb with the chain connected by hardware to the door handle and door catch that is insertable into the striker plate. The system includes a door chain anchor connected to the chain. The system also includes a relatively long interconnecting wall member connected by hardware to and between the striker plate and the door chain anchor and through a substantial portion of an inner portion of the wall.
