  • Patent number: 4843845
Abstract: A protector for use with a conventional padlock having a lock body and a shackle of inverted U-shape characterized by a pair of legs shiftable inwardly of the lock body when the padlock is locked, and shiftable outwardly when the padlock is unlocked. With the shackle fitted to a conventional hasp staple, the protector can be placed in protective position over the staple and the unlocked shackle. Moving the protector in a predetermined direction locks the protector to the shackle legs so that the protector cannot be moved outwardly and removed. When the padlock is locked the lock body moves partially into the protector so that the protector cannot be moved oppositely of the predetermined direction for removal until the padlock is unlocked.

  • Patent number: 4788836
Abstract: A tamper proof hasp apparatus for use with a conventional padlock incorporating a U-shaped attached shackle pivotable, when unlocked, about a shackle pivot leg. The apparatus includes first and second hasps incorporating respective first and second hasp plates, each formed on one end with a slot for receipt laterally thereinto of the pivot leg of the shackle and formed on the opposite end with bores for receiving the closure leg of such shackle. A spacer tongue projects from such one end of one of the hasp plates to engage one end of such body and maintain such one end spaced from the plates a distance sufficient to limit travel of such shackle relative to such hasp plates. The respective hasps are formed with guard plates projecting laterally of the hasp plates to restrict access to such shackle by tampering tools such as bolt cutters, hacksaws and the like.

  • Patent number: 4745783
Abstract: A tamper proof hasp apparatus for use with a conventional padlock incorporating a U-shaped attached shackle pivotable, when unlocked, about a shackle pivot leg. The apparatus includes first and second hasps incorporating respective first and second hasp plates formed on one end with an opening for receipt laterally thereinto of the pivot leg of the shackle and formed on the opposite end with bores for receiving the closure leg of such shackle. The closure bore of the first plate is of such a diameter as to receive the closure leg of the hasp and to engage the curved portion thereof to limit the extent to which such hasp may be inserted. The respective hasps are formed with guard plates projecting laterally thereof to, when such hasps are mounted on respective parts to be locked together, restrict access to such shackle by tampering tools such as bolt cutters, hacksaws and the like.

  • Patent number: 4502193
Abstract: A fastener for locking two objects in a predetermined relationship. The fastener has a fastener body including a spacer which defines a predetermined distance between the two objects. A first locking element is on one side of the spacer and a second locking element is on the other side of the spacer. The fastener body is adapted to receive a plunger which is adapted to travel from a retracted position to a secured position. The plunger causes the first and second locking elements to rigidly affix the objects to the fastener body thus holding the objects a predetermined distance from each other.

  • Patent number: 4099751
Abstract: A pin latch structure primarily intended for aircraft and arranged to be flush mounted. The latch includes a reciprocable latch pin arranged to be received in a conventional latch socket. The latch pin is retracted or extended by a handle and trigger assembly.Connected to the latch pin is an overcenter biasing means urging the latch pin into its latch socket and the handle and trigger assembly toward its closed condition when the biasing means is in one direction past center; and urging the latch pin to its retracted position and the handle and trigger assembly to its open position when the biasing means is past center in the opposite direction.
