  • Publication number: 20140369523
Abstract: A computer implemented method for improving audio, comprising processing audio with a combination of wave adjustment tool WAT and a collection of preset settings for adjusting specific harmonic content to specific genres of music. The preset is selected from the group comprising different genres (styles or types) of music; auto-preset; and generic preset. The auto preset value is determined by the metadata which is commonly included in an audio file. In the event there is no match between the preset genre names and the one in the metadata, then the selected preset will be “Generic.” This particular genre preset is designed for optimal sound across many genres, making it generic. The wave adjustment tool (WAT) allows for low, mid, and hi tone controls. The process is carried out by installing software in an existing audio path immediately after initial input and prior to output. A host device provides for a buffer to allow for processing of audio.

  • Publication number: 20140369515
Abstract: A Noise Control Process for targeted environments is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an input audio source corresponding to sound received from a group of microphones placed at certain locations in the targeted environment, is converted to a digital signal via an analog to digital (A/D) convertor. The ND converted audio is analyzed for content to identify ambient noise. The frequency, amplitude and phase of the identified ambient noise is subsequently determined. A Noise correction sound wave is generated with negative phase of that corresponding to the identified ambient noise. The noise correction sound wave is added to the identified noise to create a noise corrected sound.

  • Publication number: 20140362996
Abstract: An audio enhancement technique comprises a stereo audio source. The stereo audio source is split in two identical sound signals, with one of the split signals sent to a compare block and the other to an audio block. Output from the stereo audio source is fed to a stereo bus A block to create a processed audio. A bypass block for turning the processed audio on or off is provided. The output from the bypass block is fed to the compare block. The processed audio is outputted for use by user.

  • Publication number: 20140363009
Abstract: A Noise Cancellation Process for a motorcycle comprising an input audio source. Input audio source is combined in a mixer. Noise analyzer analyzes output from the mixer for amplitude and harmonic content. A replicate wave that is identical to the input audio source is created. The phase of the replicate wave is changed by ?180 degrees. Amplitude from the Noise Analyzer is monitored and amplitude of the replicated wave is matched to the original wave. The phase of the replicate wave and the input audio wave are combined to create Audio Out. Audio Out is played on the system.

  • Publication number: 20140358556
Abstract: A method of decompressing audio comprises normalizing the over compressed audio at a percentage of 48. Next the audio is converted from 16 to 32 bit to allow the filter a better resolution source to process. The next step is processing the converted ausion with a Chebyshev filter, preferably with a range of 4 Hz to 22050 Hz (bandpass mode) at the order of 18 (@36 dB estimated. After the filter, the audio is converted back to 16 bit with the dither setting shown in the block. Now, the end result is a newly repaired piece of audio with the dynamic and harmonic content restored.

  • Publication number: 20140219441
Abstract: A Voice Echo Cancellation system and process are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the present invention comprises an input audio source that is converted to a digital signal via a PCM convertor where the amplitude of the input audio source is sampled at regular intervals and translated into digital PCM audio. The resulting PCM audio is analyzed for its dynamic and harmonic content. Corrective sound waves are then generated that reduce the repetition of the original audio (echos). The corrective sound waves are applied to the repeating audio echoes to create corrected sound waves. The corrected audio is then outputted from the system.

  • Patent number: 6627808
Abstract: An apparatus and method for modeling an acoustic sound in an electric stringed musical instrument is provided. A preferred embodiment, among others, includes a bridge sensor configured to sensing string vibrations at the bridge of the instrument so that a bridge signal is generated in accordance with the vibrating strings. A body sensor, which may be positioned at different points on or within the body of the instrument, senses the resonance of the string vibrations. The body sensor generates a body resonance signal in accordance with the sensed resonance. An amplification circuit amplifies the body resonance signal when the amplitude of bridge signal exceeds a first predetermined level. In addition, a second amplification circuit amplifies the bridge signal. A summing circuit adds the amplified body resonance signal with the amplified bridge signal to produce an output signal that, when replicated in sound, models the sound of an acoustic instrument.
