  • Patent number: 9587695
Abstract: A friction material intended to equip a device for applying friction in a liquid medium, including a fiber mat impregnated with a heat-curable resin. The fiber mat consists of fibers whose length is greater than or equal to 12 mm, and is teased, coated and needled. The friction material features a porosity greater than or equal to 30% by volume and less than or equal to 60% by volume. The friction material includes activated charcoal loads whose specific surface is between 500 m2/g and whose mass content in the friction material is greater than or equal to 5% by weight and less than or equal to 15% by weight.

  • Publication number: 20150275983
Abstract: A clutch friction disc (1) having at least two opposed annular friction linings (2, 2?), each fastened on a support (4, 4?), and elastic means (3) arranged between the supports (4, 4?) so as to allow the latter to move closer or farther away axially. Each support (4, 4?) has a tongue (6) for fastening to a central hub (12), located on the inner periphery of the support (4, 4?). Each fastening tongue (6) is retained axially between the hub (12) and a clamping washer (18) fastened to the hub (12) in order to prevent deformation of the tongue (6) during operation.

  • Publication number: 20150008090
Abstract: A friction device (1) for a clutch, comprising at least two opposite annular friction linings (2, 2?) each having at least one friction body attached to a support (4, 4?) and elastic means (3) arranged between the opposite supports (4, 4?) so as to allow the supports to move axially together or apart by compression or relaxation of the elastic means (3). The friction device (1) furthermore has means for limiting the axial spacing between the supports, formed by at least one stop member (15) extending axially from one support (4) to the other (4?) and disposed on the radially outer (14) or inner periphery of the supports (4, 4?).

  • Patent number: 6135258
Abstract: A friction liner having a flat, annular general form, for a friction device designed to operate in a liquid medium, consists in particular of a clutch friction wheel or a brake disc, especially for an automatic gearbox or associated with such a gearbox, or a synchronising ring or cone for a manual gearbox. Such friction devices are intended in particular for motor vehicles. The liner is made of a friction material consisting of a mat of fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin. After a final curing step while the liner is being moulded under pressure, this material has a porous structure with intercommunicating cells. The liner includes zones having different controlled porosities.
