  • Publication number: 20160309482
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a method of wireless communication operable at a peer-to-peer (P2P) device, an apparatus, and a computer program product. A first P2P device determines a first interference margin report including a plurality of first interference margins. The first interference margins respectively correspond to a plurality of channels at a plurality of bandwidths. The first P2P device transmits the first interference margin report to a second P2P device. Prior to associating with the second P2P device to form a P2P group, the first P2P device selects at least one of a bandwidth, a channel, or a group owner of the P2P group based on the first interference margin report.

  • Publication number: 20160309420
Abstract: Various aspects describe adjusting the transmission power based on interference information, adjusting packet size when the measured error rate is different from the target error rate, and transmitting the packet according to the transmission power. Adjusting the transmission power may include increasing and/or decreasing the transmission power based on an interference margin report. Adjusting the transmission power may include increasing the transmission power when a measured link margin at a current transmission rate is greater than a target link margin at the current transmission rate and decreasing the transmission power when the measured link margin at the current transmission rate is less than the target link margin at the current transmission rate. Adjusting the packet size may include reducing the packet size when the measured error rate is greater than a target error rate and increasing the packet size when the measured error rate is less than the target error rate.

  • Publication number: 20160301620
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for setting parameters pertaining to service period (SP) for reduced latency in wireless communication. The apparatus may determine whether an amount of data at a medium access control (MAC) layer at the apparatus exceeds a maximum amount of data transmittable in a single transmission opportunity (TXOP). If so, the apparatus sets a duration of the SP for transmission of the data to be greater than or equal to a duration required for transmitting the data, and the apparatus transmits the data during the set duration of the SP. The apparatus may also set a duration of a service period interval (SPI) to be greater than or equal to the duration of the SP and less than or equal to a duration for transmitting the data using the single TXOP. The data may be latency-sensitive data, such as isochronous data or interrupt data.
