The device may determine that the group of recipients includes an emergency services recipient and a non-emergency services recipient. The device may generate an emergency call text message based on the group of recipients including the emergency services recipient and the non-emergency services recipient. The device may send the emergency call text message to the emergency services recipient without sending the emergency call text message to the non-emergency services recipient. The device may send the group text message to the non-emergency services recipient without sending the group text message to the emergency services recipient.

Abstract: A messaging device receives configuration information from a configuration device. The messaging device identifies application configuration information, associated with a first user device, based on the configuration information and sends the application configuration information to the first user device for configuring a messaging application on the first user device. The messaging device receives an incoming message, including message information, from the messaging application on the first user device. The messaging device identifies, based on the message information and the configuration information, a second user device and a message format associated with the second user device. The messaging device sends, in the message format associated with the second user device, an outgoing message, based on the message information and the configuration information, to the second user device.

The device may determine a user device associated with the receipt data. The device may send a text message, that includes the information for generating the virtual receipt, to the user device. Abstract: Systems and methods for creating gift messages for sending to individuals via an existing messaging infrastructure are described. A gift provider system may receive a request for a gift catalog from a first user device. The gift provider system may provide an interactive gift catalog to the first user device that includes one or more gift cards available for purchase. The user of the first user device may select the amount of the gift card, create a personalized message for the gift card, select a recipient, and select graphics that may accompany the gift card. The gift provider system may create a gift message based on the purchased gift card and send the gift message to the recipient. The gift message may be sent as an MMS message and may include one or more codes that the recipient can use to redeem the gift card with a providing merchant.

Abstract: A method performed by a network device may include receiving a mobile directory number (MDN) that has been identified as a mobile spam originator and generating a query for attributes of a mobile device registered with the MDN. The method also includes receiving a query response that include attributes of the mobile device and determining to block the mobile device from access to a network associated with the network device. The method further includes providing, by the network device and to a blacklist system, one or more of the device attributes.

Abstract: Systems and method for identifying and blocking short messaging service spam are disclosed. In some aspects, a first mobile messaging service message is received from a messaging source in a node of a mobile communication network, the first mobile messaging service message being addressed to a destination mobile device. The first mobile messaging service message is forwarded through the mobile communication network for delivery to the destination mobile device. Whether or not the first mobile messaging service message meets a spam messaging criterion is determined, where determining whether or not the first mobile messaging service message meets the spam messaging criterion occurs in parallel with forwarding the first mobile messaging service message through the mobile communication network. Information identifying the messaging source as a spam source is stored, upon determining that the first mobile messaging service message meets the spam messaging criterion.

Abstract: A device is configured to receive triggering information including a set of conditions associated with spam. The device is configured to receive a message from a sending device, and to determine that the message is spam based on determining that the message satisfies a threshold quantity of conditions of the set of conditions. The device is configured to provide a notification indicating that the message may be spam, and receive response information, based on the notification, indicating that the sending device is to be blacklisted. The device is configured to cause, based on the response information, a future message from the sending device to be blocked prior to being presented to a user.
