Abstract: A transfer unit for exposed photographic paper webs to be conveyed to a developer has a generally prismatic outline and is equipped with a front slot and two side slots which extend in the shape of deflecting aprons so as to turn the paper web upside down prior to its entering the developer tub.

Abstract: For recovering silver and discharging depolluted wastes from washing baths for photographic and like films or papers, a method is disclosed which consists in having the washing liquid running in countercurrent relationship in a number of serially arranged tubs, relative to the direction of advance of the photographic material being washed.The concentration of silver salts is thus increased in a direction contrary to that of advance of the sensitive materials being processed so that the first tub of the series (considered in the machine direction) has such a concentration of silver that the recovery by any methods is economically interesting.

Abstract: This invention relates to a device for clipping strips of photographic paper to the flat conveyor belts of conventional developers for conveying in closed cycle through various tanks containing the necessary chemicals for development. The device according to the invention comprises a bar to which the photographic paper is connected, a hook at one end of said bar and a resilient clip fixed to the bar at such a distance from the hook as to be able to clamp a conveyor belt hooked by the hook.

Abstract: A device is disclosed, for treating a material (for example photographic films) through a plurality of processing baths, different stay times being required in different baths. The desired variations of the stay times are obtained by varying the geometrical configuration of the material strip, this being obtained by causing the travel path of the material to be varied geometrically by increasing or reducing lap bends introduced in the strip of material by lifting or depressing a few conveying rollers.
