Abstract: Hair styling accessories are disclosed herein for holding, securing and styling hair. The accessories provide a mechanism for holding a ponytail in a wearer's hair, and/or for allowing hair to be secured, pulled, rolled and styled in a desirable manner. In some embodiments, faceted gem features are displayed. In some further embodiments, synthetic hair-like material is secured to the accessories.

A hair extension securing apparatus is adjustable between an open and a closed position, to allow a wearer to selectively fasten a hair extension to the wearer's hair.

Abstract: A device for styling hair includes a first flexible, deformable elongated body member having a length and having first and second end portions, and a second flexible, deformable elongated body member having first and second end portions connected to the first and second end portions of the first body member, respectively. The second body member has a length that is less than the length of the first body member, so that a gap is formed between the first body member and the second body member through which hair may be inserted. An attachment mechanism is configured to secure the first end portion of the first body member to the second end portion of the first body member in a rounded configuration in which the first and second body members are deformed into a rounded shape with the second body member positioned inside a circumference of the first body member.

Abstract: A method is provided of assisting a user with a selection of a personal appearance style over an interactive computer based network. Digital images of personal appearance styles are stored on a host computer in a database. Combinations of physical characteristics and personality characteristics are also stored on the host computer in the database, as are various business and/or social events. Information is received from the user related to physical and/or personality characteristics of the user, and related to an event the user will be attending. The host computer then determines personal appearance styles that are compatible with the user's physical and/or personality characteristics and the event the user will be attending, and transmits and displays those personal appearance styles to the user. A method is further provided to receive and compile feedback through a social networking arrangement over an interactive computer based network on a personal appearance style selected by a user for a past event.

Abstract: First and second holders for styling a person's hair in a selected form with respect to at least a portion thereof which holders can be used individually or in combination. In combination, protuberances in one holder can be forced into openings in the other to thereby be held together as a unit. There are provisions to aid fastening these holders in a person's hair and to hold decorative items therein.

Abstract: A hair styling device with a stretchable, relatively long body portion extending between two ends thereof having a first end clasp member and a second end clasp member each provided at a corresponding one of the opposing ends thereof capable of being at least in part positionable about at least a part of the other. The first and second end clasp members each have a passageway therethrough into which a corresponding body portion end extends with the body portion ends each having a passage blocking object thereon, and being sufficiently narrow to prevent the body end extending therethrough with a blocking object thereon from passing through that narrow part. The blocking member can be a spherical shaped solid wedging the body portion ends into a tapered sides portion of the passageway in each clasp member.

Abstract: A device for styling hair is disclosed. The device includes a flexible, elongated body portion having an elongated opening for receiving hair. The main body portion is deformed to create a continuous hair receiving opening. The elongated body portion also has a first female end and a second male end. A hair styling device comprising an elongated body portion with an elongated slot is also described.
