Abstract: Examples of rivet-type fastener are described. The rivet-type fastener may further include a fastener pin. The fastener pin includes a planar head portion and a shaft longitudinally extending from the head portion. The fastener pin may further include a cantilevered snap element at a distal end of the shaft. A portion of the cantilevered snap element is flexibly moveable with respect to the axis of shaft. The rivet-type fastener comprises a fastener body which in turn comprises a collared portion with a central opening. A plurality of elongated portions extend orthogonally from the collared portion, wherein the elongated portions are radially positioned about the central axis and about the edges of the central opening.

Abstract: Aspects herein relate to an elongated structural member for use on a front box structure of a vehicle, and a front box structure incorporating the elongated structural member. In some aspects the elongated structural member comprises an elongated rigid frame surrounding an internal space, with a first fluid channel and a second fluid channel within the internal space. The elongated structural has a length, and, in some aspects, the first fluid channel and the second fluid channel extend the length of the structural member and have an open end at each end. In some aspects, the first fluid channel and the second fluid channel are integrally formed with the rigid frame, such as by an extrusion.

Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a chassis, a rigid axle housing, and a suspension system control arm coupling the rigid axle housing to the chassis. The electric vehicle also includes first and second electric motors, each having a rotator and a stator. The stator of the first and second electric motors are rigidly fixed to the rigid axle housing. The electric vehicle also includes a coolant supply system coupled to a radiator and the rigid axle housing to supply coolant from the radiator to a coolant inlet of the rigid axle housing and to supply used coolant from a coolant outlet of the rigid axle housing to the radiator. A first mounting bracket is fixed to the chassis and the coolant supply system. A second mounting bracket is fixed to the rigid axle housing and the coolant supply system, and a third mounting bracket is fixed to the control arm and the coolant supply system.
