The waveform synthesis circuit may store values of a reference waveform for a selected channel of the signal transmitter, and use the stored values to generate values of reference waveforms for one or more other channels of the signal transmitter. The waveform synthesis circuit may further include a sampling boost circuit to generate one or more additional values for the reference waveforms. The waveform transmission circuit may generate signals for the channels of the signal transmitter based at least in part on the values of the reference waveforms, and transmit the signals via one or more antennas.

Abstract: Detecting fine-grained similarity in image includes determining a core area of a search image by generating an image salient map from a plurality of layers of the search image and determining a connected area based on the image salient map. Feature descriptors are generated from the core area of the search image. A plurality of capsule vectors are generated from different ones of a plurality of keypoints of the feature descriptors. Capsule vectors of the search image are compared with capsule vectors of each image of the dataset to generate a top-K matrix. Similarity scores for the top-K matrix are calculated. One or more image of the dataset having fine-grained similarity with the search image are selected based a bundled similarity score for each image of the dataset. The bundled similarity score is a summation of the similarity scores of the image.

The method further includes determining, via a merging algorithm, a list of third class probabilities and a list of third class labels based on the lists of first and second class probabilities. The method further includes determining the task corresponding to the predetermined period of time based on the list of third class probabilities.

Metamaterials may be stacked or otherwise manipulated to transform substantially monochromatic signal into a second signal having a desired amplitude and phase. Metamaterials may be used with acoustic devices to create haptic feedback with desired properties or to transform the shape of certain devices. Metamaterials may be used in rotating devices with openings that transform a monochromatic signal into a non-monochromatic signal.

Abstract: A deep learning-based method for fusing multi-source urban energy data and a storage medium are provided to perform data fusion on multi-source urban energy data found in big data and perform multi-scale and multimodal information fusion by using a cross-modal transformer, thereby implementing cross-modal mutual fusion of multi-source heterogeneous types of data to obtain a fused feature for prediction of a quantity of energy that will be used in the future and a quantity of energy that needs to be produced. The present disclosure proposes a multi-scale cooperative multimodal transformer architecture to enhance an effect of representation learned from an unaligned multimodal sequence. Not only there is a higher degree of correlation in multi-source urban energy data fusion, but also a system becomes more lightweight.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described to identify motion events on a sloped surface, such as a mountainside, using transmitted and received radio frequency (RF) chirps. A one-dimensional array of receive antennas can be digitally beamformed to determine azimuth information of received reflected chirps. Elevation information can be determined based on time-of-flight measurements of received reflected chirps and known distances to locations on the sloped surface. Motion events may be characterized by deviations in return power levels and/or return phase shifts. The systems and methods may, for example, be used to provide real-time detection of avalanches and/or landslides.

Abstract: A monitoring and early warning system based on the Internet of Things for an ancient building includes an information acquisition system, a service platform and a user side. The information acquisition system is configured to acquire state data of the ancient building and upload the state data to the service platform by means of a 4G/5G gateway. The user side is integrated in a visualization device for a user to manage, analyze and interact with the acquired ancient building data, and the user side includes a monitoring module, a pre-alarm module, a management module and an expert module. The service platform is of a duster system integrating a plurality of applications, caches and database servers. The expert module is of a Res-long short-term memory (Res-LSTM) neural network model for evaluating a crack state of the ancient building.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes: accessing a plurality of datasets, where each dataset of the plurality of datasets includes training examples; selecting datasets that include the training examples in a source language and a target language; and sampling, based on a sampling weight that is determined for each of the selected datasets, the training examples from the selected datasets to generate the training batches; training an ML model for performing at least a first task using the training examples of the training batches, by interleavingly inputting the training batches to the ML model; and outputting the trained ML model configured to perform the at least the first task on input utterances provided in at least one among the source language and the target language. The sampling weight is determined for each of the selected datasets based on one or more attributes common to the training examples of the selected dataset.
