Publication number: 20240154611Abstract: A technique for powering gate drivers in a half-bridge configuration uses a single external power supply to power each gate driver. A single on-chip regulator regulates the positive turn-on voltage for each switch. The regulator overhead, is also used as the negative voltage for turn-off, thus transferring the low-frequency variation of the external power supply to the negative turn-off voltage. Accordingly, a single on-chip regulator generates both the positive turn-on voltage and the negative turn-off voltage. In at least one embodiment, reuse of the switch turn-off current further reduces on-chip power dissipation. The on-chip regulator's output filter capacitor discharges during turn-on of the external power switching device. During turn-off, the current that discharges the switch gate capacitance recharges the regulator filter capacitor.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Ion Constantin Tesu, Joselyn Torres-Torres, Stefan Noel Mastovich, James Edward Heckroth, Krishna Pentakota, Long Van Nguyen

Publication number: 20240096485Abstract: A planning system is provided for planning breast feeding or milk expression. An input receives first milk flow information from breast Schedule pumping sessions and second milk flow information from breast feeding sessions. The first and second milk flow information are processed to derive a input schedule, wherein the schedule specifies a combination of future breast pumping and breast feeding sessions. In this way, the system assists a mother in planning her milk production routine to best fit with her schedule as well as providing the best nutrition for the infant.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2022Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: JESPER WILLIAM VAN BENTUM, JENNY MARGARITO, CHIARA RABOTTI, XI LONG

Patent number: 11366050Abstract: The invention is a novel and non-obvious design and implementation of an inductive sensor for quantifying magnetic particles. The invention parts way from the conventional methods of using wounded coils to a design that is compatible with an integrated circuit (IC) chip fabrication processes and/or printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. The increased accuracy from these fabrication methods provides a significant improvement to sensor sensitivity. In addition, the design of the inductive sensor enables easy integration with lateral flow assay (LFA) technology. The sensor can be applied to detect and quantify molecules to provide information on health, hazard or safety.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2020Date of Patent: June 21, 2022Inventors: Dmitri Litvinov, Long Van Chang, Mohammad Khodadadi, Richard Coale Willson

Publication number: 20220044237Abstract: Disclosed herein are secure transaction systems having secure elements that are initialized and activated independent from each other. The secure element is first initialized to make the secure element turn to a state in which the secure element can be packaged, sold within retail stores, and then injected with encryption keys. The initialization process of the secure element formulates the secure element to ensure trust between the secure elements and secure element activation servers. The process of independently initializing and activating the secure elements while still addressing the security protocols allows the secure element to be packaged and sold within retail stores after initialization, and then activating the secure element at a later date and time when the secure element is ready to be used by a merchant.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2021Publication date: February 10, 2022Applicant: DREAM PAYMENTS CORP.Inventors: Long VAN, Sergey NEKIPELYY

Patent number: 10521241Abstract: An added security feature on a mobile device to require an owner or an authorized user of the mobile device to provide a shutdown password to power off the mobile device is disclosed. The shutdown password is configured and set by the owner or the authorized user and stored internally in a data storage device of the mobile device. When so configured, the mobile device triggers a shutdown password input field to be displayed on the mobile device screen. The user of the mobile device must provide the shutdown password in order to power off the mobile device, thereby preventing unauthorized powering off of the mobile device and associated GPS and internal communications circuitry of the mobile device, allowing the mobile device to be tracked in the event of an emergency or when the mobile device is lost or stolen.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2017Date of Patent: December 31, 2019Inventor: Long Van Ha
