  • Publication number: 20250128762
Abstract: An all-terrain vehicle includes a frame, wheels, a suspension system, a prime mover assembly, and a drive train. The front suspension includes left and right upper rocker A-arms pivotally connected to the frame, left and right lower rocker A-arms pivotally connected to the frame, and left and right front knuckle connected between the respective upper and lower rocker A-arms and the respective front wheel. Each front knuckle has upper and lower connecting portions for attaching to the upper and lower rocker A-arms, at least one of which is separately formed from the main body with a flange connected to the main body by at least one fastener. A camber adjusting spacer can be positioned between the flange and the main body to adjust camber of the respective front wheel.

  • Publication number: 20250091558
Abstract: A brake system of an off-road vehicle includes a hand brake lever, a foot brake lever and a master cylinder. The hand brake lever can control both front and rear brake calipers by causing brake fluid to be input into an input chamber of the master cylinder, causing brake fluid pressure to increase in both primary and secondary chambers and brake fluid to flow out of both primary and secondary output ports. The foot brake lever can also control both the front and rear brake calipers via the master cylinder. A control system has an unlocking base station and a control module. The unlocking base station is capable of being wirelessly paired with a hand-carried transmitter. The control module will start the prime mover system only after assessment of a distance between the unlocking base station and the hand-carried transmitter based on a signal received from the hand-carried transmitter.

  • Publication number: 20250091682
Abstract: An all-terrain vehicle includes a frame; four wheels; a suspension system; and a prime mover assembly. The frame includes auxiliary main beams which extend upwardly from a mid-height of one of the mid-rear pillars in a front tube section, and then angles from 120 to 170° to a longitudinal portion welded along its length to the upper main beam. The front tube sections each define a triangular shape together with the mid-rear pillars and the upper main beams. The all-terrain vehicle includes a front mounting bracket and two cargo rack structures, a cooling fan cover which supports several components of the cooling system, rear suspension swing arm mount plates formed of sheet metal, a passenger seat that elastically allows backrest lean angle changes, and a dual action brake caliper.

  • Publication number: 20240375505
Abstract: An all-terrain vehicle includes a frame, a vehicle cover, a plurality of wheels, a suspension, a prime mover assembly with an engine and a transmission, and an intake system. The intake system includes an air inlet on an instrument shield providing cooling air to the transmission. The instrument shield windward surface extends transversely, upwardly and rearwardly at an angle to horizontal in the range of 45 to 90 degrees. The vehicle cover includes left and right side cover assemblies each with insulation covers. The prime mover assembly is in an accommodation space extending inside of the left and right insulation covers, substantially isolated from contact with the left and right insulation covers by airflow within the accommodation space. Flow-guiding cavities are defined adjacent wind-in surfaces on the underside(s) of left and/or right front fenders, and the flow-guiding cavities introduce airflow into the accommodation space.

  • Patent number: 10618383
Abstract: A mounting clip having two clip portions holds a windshield to a tube of a ROPS tube of an off-road vehicle. One of the clip portions includes an arm extending in a cantilevered fashion away from the windshield contact surface, curving partially around the tube but not encircling the tube. One of the clip portions includes deflectable tabs, extending through a windshield aperture and mating into recesses on the other clip portion, so the clip can be buckled by hand pressing the two clip portions together. The windshield and the arm pinch opposing sides of the tube, compressing a seal on the edge of the windshield.

  • Patent number: 10562498
Abstract: A windshield wiper mounting plate supports a wiper relative to a frame of an all-terrain vehicle. The windshield is hinged to the frame, and the windshield wiper mounting plate is separately hinged to the frame. The windshield can be pivoted relative to the frame, simultaneously pivoting the windshield wiper mounting plate and attached wiper. The windshield is received in a windshield mounting groove of the windshield wiper mounting plate. The windshield can be removed from the frame by sliding the windshield out of the windshield mounting groove and while leaving the windshield wiper mounting structure attached to the frame of the all-terrain vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10493828
Abstract: A windshield for a utility or off-road all terrain vehicle includes a plurality of slits through a bottom center of the windshield body. A slide plate with corresponding slits is slidably attached to the windshield body. The slide plate is formed of the same transparent or translucent material as the windshield body, but is not as thick and the windshield body and is not hardened. Fasteners are fixed to the windshield body and extend through slide slots in the slide plate, enabling a throw of the slide plate of at least the width of the slits. A spacer or seal strip is positioned between the windshield body and the slide plate.
