  • Patent number: 7443418
Abstract: A method for producing a plurality of electronic job pages using a digital camera and a computer comprises the steps of capturing and storing a first group of digital images using the digital camera; designating, in response to a user input, that subsequent captured digital images are to form a second group of digital images; and capturing and storing a second group of digital images using the digital camera. The method further includes the steps of storing data in a memory of the digital camera which identifies the first and second groups of digital images; transferring the first and second group of digital images, and the data identifying the first and second groups of digital images, from the digital camera to the computer; and using the transferred data identifying the first and second groups of digital images to produce a first electronic job page including the first group of digital images and a second electronic job page including the second group of digital images.

  • Publication number: 20040205286
Abstract: A method for capturing and grouping digital images using a digital camera includes the steps of capturing a first group of digital images using the digital camera; storing the first group of digital images in corresponding digital image files in a memory in the digital camera; and designating, in response to a user input, that subsequent captured digital images are to form a second group of digital images. The method further includes the steps of capturing the second group of digital images using the digital camera; storing the second group of digital images in corresponding digital image files in the memory; and storing a single control file in the memory separate from the stored digital image files, the single control file containing data identifying the first and second groups of digital images.

  • Publication number: 20040201688
Abstract: A method is disclosed for a host computer to selectively operate on a plurality of image files captured by a digital camera, each image file having at least one digital image. The plurality of captured image files are stored in a memory in the digital camera. The digital camera memory is coupled to the host computer so that the host computer identifies the plurality of captured image files. The host computer identifies the digital camera memory as though it were a file system of an additional hard drive memory for accessing the captured image files. The captured image files are then accessed and selectively transferred from the digital camera memory to the host computer.

  • Publication number: 20020044157
Abstract: A method is disclosed for accessing at least one image file transferred from a digital camera to a host computer by producing icons representative of portions of each image file, the at least one image file having a digital image and at least one audio data segment. The at least one image file is stored in a memory in the digital camera. The memory is coupled to the host computer so that the host computer identifies the at least one image file, recognizing the presence of the digital image and the at least one audio data segment in the memory. At least two icons are produced which are provided on a display associated with the host computer and which respectively represent the digital image and the at least one audio data segment. The digital image icon or the at least one audio data segment icon is then selectively accessed to cause the transfer of the digital image or the at least one audio data segment from the memory to the host computer for access by a user.
