Abstract: A system and method for installing roof insulation in commercial and/or industrial buildings in which a pattern of depending vertically oriented spindle fasteners are secured in and about the underside of the roofing and its associated support structure. Blanket and/or a radiant barrier type membrane insulation placed in position along the underside of the roof extending between and past the fasteners is adapted to be supported by longitudinally extending tandem end-to-end support bars secured to the fasteners by self-locking washers.

Abstract: A roof system and method of roof fabrication for a building having in place a plurality of parallel and spaced apart elongated structural support units defining a longitudinal surface exposed from above. Fabrication is effected by first applying a double faced adhesive tape longitudinally along the top surface of the support units after which flexible moisture impervious sheeting suitable to function as a vapor barrier is sequentially applied in lengths from rolls in a laterally spaced apart relation directly onto the adhesive tape of adjacent support units. This is followed by applying another length of sheeting intermediate and in contact with double faced adhesive tape applied over the borders of the adjacent previously applied sheeting into an overlapping seamed relation to render the sheeting continuous and uninterrupted.

Abstract: An interior ceiling or wall covering system comprising longitudinal parallel flexible panels formed by vapor barrier material applied to flange surfaces of ceiling joists or purlins or wall girts wherein the panels extend parallel to the longitudinal extent of the joists, purlins or girts and are secured to the flanges thereof by a pressure sensitive adhesive. Self drilling fasteners are driven into the structural member flanges at spaced apart intervals to provide backup support for securing the panels to the structural members. The enclosed space formed by the panels may be filled with loose, sprayed on or preformed batts of insulation material. The panels may be extended in directions normal to the purlins or girts by utilizing light gauge support strips to which the panels are applied with pressure sensitive adhesive and with spaced apart fasteners driven into the flanges of the structural members at points contiguous with the panels.
