  • Patent number: 5971632
Abstract: A document printer is provided comprising a printer housing, a user interface and an internal printer controller positioned within the printer housing. The internal printer controller is programmed to designate a document format according to a format command entered at the user interface. A data stream input port is in communication with the internal printer controller and is operative to receive a data stream. A document construction module is in communication with the internal printer controller. The document construction module enables the internal printer controller to (i) extract predetermined data fields from the data stream according to the designated document format and (ii) convert the extracted data fields to document data. A document data printing mechanism is responsive to the internal printer controller and is operative to print the document data in the designated document format.

  • Patent number: 5966434
Abstract: A service control processor includes a plurality of service feature processors each corresponding to selected telephone service, and a plurality of call processing records, each corresponding to a customer of a service provider. The customer call processing records specify services subscribed to by the caller. A feature manager processor manages call processing and the implementation and execution of services by managing the individual service feature processors. In an alternative embodiment, multiple feature manager processors are included, and a trigger manager selects between them in response to call processing triggers.

  • Patent number: 5949870
Abstract: Local Number Portability (LNP) includes two capabilities: Location Routing Number (LRN) and Message Relay Service (MRS). The LRN capability allows proper call routing during a normal call. MRS allows proper execution of telephone services such as voice messaging and automatic callback. The system and method of the present invention implements LRN and MRS at an ISCP.
