  • Patent number: 11662064
Abstract: A pressure vessel system for a vehicle includes a pressure vessel and a fuel line. The system also includes a blocking unit which, in an inoperative state, prevents fuel from passing out of the pressure vessel into the fuel line. A control unit for the blocking unit is designed, under the action of electrical energy, to transfer the blocking unit from the inoperative state into an active state in which fuel can pass out of the pressure vessel into the fuel line. Furthermore, the system includes an electrically conducting connection to an electrical system of the vehicle via which electrical energy can be provided for controlling the blocking unit. In addition, the system includes an access interface unit via which electrical energy for controlling the blocking unit can be provided from an external energy supply if no electrical energy is available from the electrical system of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11541747
Abstract: A motor vehicle with a pressure vessel system includes at least a first pressure vessel arranged in a first region of the motor vehicle and at least one second pressure vessel arranged in a second region of the motor vehicle having a lower intrusion probability than the first region. Fuel is preferentially removed first primarily from the at least one first pressure vessel. When the lower limit of fuel level or fuel temperature is reached in the at least one first pressure vessel, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel. If the fuel supply rate from the at least one first pressure vessel is lower than an overall fuel supply rate for an energy converter, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel to meet the overall fuel supply rate needed by the energy converter.

  • Patent number: 11441738
Abstract: A pressure vessel system for a motor vehicle has at least one pressure vessel, to which an extraction line is connected. The extraction line has a connection point, to which a connection line leading to a consumer is connected. The connection point of the extraction line includes a first coupling part of a quick coupling, to which a second coupling part of the quick coupling, arranged on the connection line, is connected. The first coupling part has a non-return valve, which closes the extraction line when the second coupling part is decoupled.

  • Patent number: 10900612
Abstract: A cryogenic pressure container for a motor vehicle has an inner container and an outer container. An evacuated space is arranged between the inner container and the outer container at least in some regions. The inner container has a synthetic material layer. A barrier layer is arranged at least in some regions between the synthetic material layer and the evacuated space. The barrier layer is designed and arranged so as to at least reduce the transfer of constituents leaking out of the synthetic material layer into the evacuated space, wherein a gap is formed at least in some regions between the barrier layer and the synthetic material layer.

Abstract: A connection element is provided for a pressure tank. The connection element is to be introduced into an opening of the pressure tank. The connection element includes a stopper element and a counterelement at least partially enclosing the stopper element. An outer side of the stopper element and an inner side of the counterelement form a tapering clearance, with the result that a tank wall of the pressure tank can be clamped in the clearance of the connection element.
