  • Publication number: 20100318409
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses evaluate the productivity of a work effort and determine the potential productivity improvement for completing the work effort. The work effort is baselined, and the potential productivity improvement may be assessed by presenting evaluation questions organized by categories. The potential productivity improvement is then applied to an estimating model to obtain an estimated effort for completing the work effort. The actual effort measure is then obtained from a time capture system and compared to the estimated effort in order to generate an indicator that is indicative of the comparison. The baselining of the work effort may be repeated at a subsequent time by obtaining an updated estimated effort from the estimating model and an updated actual effort measure form the time capture system and then comparing them to determine whether the productivity objective has been achieved at the subsequent time.

  • Patent number: 6178096
Abstract: A shielding cover for a GBIC module (30) including a pair of cover parts (38, 40) formed with complementary features to surround a printed circuit board (32) of the module. A pair of latch members (42, 44) hold the two cover parts together and also provide a latching function when a module is inserted into a guide structure (12) mounted to a host board.

  • Patent number: 5993266
Abstract: A keying system for an electrical connector (10, 16) is disclosed. Keying members (160, 234) are provided in mating pairs so that one is assembled to the cable connector (10) and the other is assembled to the mating panel connector (16). Each of the keying members (160,234) is assembled by inserting it into the open end of the connector so that lugs (186,236) on the dielectric insert (44,218) within the connector enter camming slots (178) in the keying member (160,234) which is then twisted to lock it in place. The keying members can be easily and conveniently assembled and disassembled in the field by the end user.

  • Patent number: 5078622
Abstract: A pin and socket connector using pin and socket terminals formed into a highly conductive material and using a separate contact band member less resistant to stress relaxation than the material used to form a stamped and formed pin and socket terminals is disclosed. These pin and socket terminals are suitable for use in both sealed and unsealed electrical connectors, employing a secondary lock. The secondary lock has at least one cylindrical projection engaging the corresponding terminals within the cavities from the rear. At least one curved concentric opening radially spaced from a central wire and terminal receiving opening in a rear conductor seal, is configured to receive a corresponding cylindrical secondary lock projections and establish sealing integrity therewith.
