  • Publication number: 20230301858
Abstract: A method of rotating a subject includes arranging a lifting aid underneath the subject such that a midline of the subject is off center from a centerline of the lifting aid in a direction opposite of the rotation direction. The lifting aid includes a first loop extending in the rotation direction and a second loop extending in the opposite direction. The method further includes connecting the loops to a sling bar coupled to an overhead lift and directing the overhead lift to raise, where the subject rotates towards the direction of rotation due to the off center location of the subject. The method further includes repositioning the subject when the subject has rotated to a lateral recumbent position and directing the overhead lift to lower, thereby causing the subject to continue rotating.

  • Publication number: 20230290468
Abstract: A compute device may include circuitry configured to obtain patient state data that may be indicative of a heart rate of the patient or a respiration rate of the patient. The circuitry may also be configured to obtain patient medication data indicative of a schedule for administration of pain medication to the patient. Further, the circuitry may be configured to determine whether a trend in the patient state data satisfies a predefined condition, determine whether the patient medication data indicates that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within a predefined time period, determine, in response to a determination that the trend in the patient state data satisfies the predefined condition and a determination that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within the predefined time period, that the patient is experiencing pain, and produce an alert signal that the patient is in pain.

  • Patent number: 11699528
Abstract: Automatically gathering and processing data relating to risk of patient falls. The data is analyzed to determine a level of risk each patient has for falling. Patient risk for falls is stratified and protocols are implemented to mitigate that risk. The system communicates instructions and alerts to caregivers to complete tasks or provide aid to patients. Updates to patient medical information and updates to best practices in fall risk management result in updates to patient risk stratifications. In turn, tasks and alerts are updated to reflect updates to patient risk stratifications.

  • Publication number: 20210065856
Abstract: This disclosure is directed towards a patient management system for selectively storing and/or sharing patient data. A wearable device may sense a condition associated with the wearer of the wearable device, and store values based on the condition for a period of time. The wearable device may determine that the wearable device is within range of another device, such that the wearable device can communicate with the other device, and output the values to the other device. Additionally, a computing device of the patient management system may receive, from a wearable device, first data associated with a condition of a wearer of the wearable device. The computing device may also receive second data associated with the condition from a sensing device. The computing device may determine a context of the wearer based on comparing the first and second data, and control output of an alert based on the context.

  • Publication number: 20200411149
Abstract: A fall reporting system gathers, extracts, and compiles data from multiple electronic sources to generate reports regarding patient falls. Individual patient investigation reports are automatically generated when a device detects a patient fall. Additionally, the system can aggregate data from multiple patients to provide facility investigation reports for a unit, department, or entire healthcare facility. Reports can be customized to filter and visualize falls-related data. The system can be cloud based or part of a local area network.
