    Abstract: A vehicle includes a communication unit for communicating with a wireless device including a selection portion and a command portion. The selection portion provides an interface for a user to select functions of the vehicle for control by the wireless device. The command portion of the communication unit receives user input from the selection portion. The command portion includes a controller that accepts the user input from the selection portion and generates the wireless communications to the wireless device. The wireless communications enable the wireless device to communicate with the command portion, which then controls the desired vehicle function.
