  • Publication number: 20240161198
Abstract: A technique of processing insurance data collected from a plurality of companies includes obtaining a company defined configuration that specifies how to extract a set of company generated data records from a data store and how the set of company generated data records is used by an application. The data store includes common data elements shared by the plurality of companies and company-specific data elements specified by a company. It further includes obtaining from the data store the set of company generated data records based on the company defined configuration. It further includes executing the application to process the company generated data records according to how the set of company generated data records is used by the application as specified by the company defined configuration.

  • Patent number: 11798096
Abstract: A technique of obtaining update data from a database includes accessing configuration data associated with a particular entity in a plurality of entities. The configuration data includes a specification of how to extract a set of entity generated data records from a remote data store associated with the particular entity. The remote data store associated with the particular entity comprises common data elements shared by the plurality of entities and entity-specific data elements specified by the particular entity. It further includes determining whether values for a data field specified in the configuration data have been previously extracted from the remote data store. It further includes generating, according to the specification included in the configuration data, a query for values associated with the data field. Generating the query comprises determining a range indicator that indicates a time period of data values to be extracted.

  • Publication number: 20140122347
Abstract: A system for life-cycle tracking of recycle commodities providing a multitude of users with real-time tracking and accounting data related to the progress of recycle commodities from bundling of the recycle commodities at a waste generator, through consolidation of the recycle commodities, and then finally the selling of the recycle commodities from the waste generator directly to a recycler.

  • Publication number: 20090248453
Abstract: A computing platform (201) of choice can be configured and arranged to access (102 and 103) a first memory (202) that stores attributes which specifically characterize a particular candidate insurance entity and a second memory (203) that stores mappings which relate insurance policy element availability for a plurality of insurance policy elements to various corresponding insurance entity characterizing attributes. The aforementioned attributes, by one approach, correspond to respective end user-configurable dimensions. This platform can then serve (104) as a matching component by automatically using the aforementioned mappings to determine available insurance policy elements for the particular candidate insurance entity as a function of these attributes and then automatically using (105) those available insurance policy elements to configure an insurance policy consistent with these mappings.

  • Patent number: 5959260
Abstract: A cellular telephone (100) has a receiver (506) and a transmitter (508) and a detachable battery (106) retrofitted for entering handwritten information and for providing power to the cellular telephone (100). The detachable battery (106) has a digitizer (552) for accepting the handwritten information, a recognition engine (560), coupled to the digitizer (552), for generating readable characters from the handwritten information. The detachable battery also has a memory (558), coupled to the recognition engine (560), for storing the readable characters and an output port (116) for transferring readable characters from the detachable battery (106).

  • Patent number: 5917942
Abstract: An adaptive weighting handwriting recognition device and method compares information representing handwritten input with stored recognition data at least some of which has a weighting value associated therewith. The weighting values remains fixed during comparison of the handwritten input and stored recognition data and provide candidate recognition information, which can be further processed with user editing instructions to modify and correct the candidate recognition information. During user editing, the weighting values of the stored recognition data associated with the corrected candidate recognition information modified are varied to enhance the likelihood of correct future handwriting recognition.

  • Patent number: 5104656
Abstract: To prepare an analgesic, anti-inflammatory cream, ibuprofen-S is dissolved in the PEG-7-glycerylcocoate and propylene glycol by slightly warming the solution to about 40 degrees Centigrade. Fractionated coconut oil, di-isopropyladipate, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, polyoxyl-40-stearate, sorbitan-monostearate and propylparaben are mixed and heated to 70 degrees Centigrade. Methylparaben Sod. is dissolved in demineralized water and heated to 70 degrees Centigrade. The above oil and water phase components are mixed together, cooled to about 50 degrees Centigrade and the ibuprofen-S solution is added to the emulsion. The emulsion is homogenized and cooled to room temperature to form the cream.
