Abstract: A method for handling aircraft baggage which is transported in an aircraft, preferably in standardized baggage containers, for the passengers of a specific flight in the arrival sector of an airport terminal, announces to the passenger that his or her item of baggage is being handled on one of the baggage carousels and simultaneously ensures that the item of baggage of a passenger or a plurality of items of baggage are actually available on the announced baggage carousels. In order to do so, the flight baggage is logistically associated with passenger-related criteria that are stored in a computer and that determine upon or after unloading of the aircraft or the baggage containers, the distribution of the flight baggage to one of a plurality of baggage carousels.

Abstract: In a system for obtaining information from a data carrier provided on an object to be transported by a conveyor at a conveying speed, a first reading device is positioned in proximity to the conveyor and configured to employ at least one first technology to obtain information from the data carrier on the object. A second reading device is positioned in proximity to the conveyor and configured to employ a second technology to obtain information from the data carrier. The second reading device is movable substantially parallel to and synchronously with the object between a start position and an end position, wherein the second reading device is configured to be activated between the start position and the end position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method, and the equipment necessary for implementation thereof, for the unnoticeable detection of armed persons in the region giving access to objects that require protection and for the detention of such persons by surprise. Detention by surprise prevents individuals prepared to do violence from being able to run amok or take hostages in order to secure their own release.
